Everything you need for a layover at the airport...Shower, tv, coffe and tea pot and close to restaurants. You need a boarding pass to get to it...and maybe a reservation confirmation as we'll as it is located in the transit terminal. Look for signs for the Rijk museum and then you will see signs for the mercure hotel. -

I like this hotel .. it's actually a house but the owner make it hotel ! .. try it you will like it .. stuff is friendly and kindly .. I booked by mistake a normal room with free cancellation but he give me deluxe room since it is same price (nonrefundable one) .

Great great off the "beaten path" small hotel. Very close to Amsterdam international airport. Need a car to get here. In the middle of a beautiful small village exactly where you wouldn't expect a small hotel to be. I loved it. The gave me free upgrade to ground floor. This is a brand new hotel with very well organized room space. A standard twin room is not very big, but arrangement is such that you have sufficient space for everything. We had a stopover in Schiphol and booked one nights accommodation at the
Holiday Inn Express. The pick-up service from the airport was much
appreciated, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was
good. The proximity of the railway station in Hoofddorf, which was a
short walk, was great as our flight the following day was an evening one
so we enjoyed a canal trip and lunch in the city centre. Our bags were
safe in the hotel left luggage room and we purchased a hotel bus ticket

There was a kitchenette with a two-burner stove, a microwave and a refrigerator. The room was comfortable and clean and it was quiet. There was ample room in the lounge area for hanging out and meeting people and the restaurant appeared to be well attended and a place to socialise. It was also just next to the subway and tram stops which was nice when arriving late at night.
