I loved the place because it's in Thamel and at the same time it's situated in a very calm street so that you can forget about the noisy aspect of Thamel whenever you want.

location is right in Thamel,very good for shopping and take something to eat. clean. good clerk, very helpful and sweet. free airport pick up!

The hotel staffs were very helpful. They were ready to help in all the cases.

The standard room has only one small window which is facing the staircase. So if you plan to spend some time at the hotel room than standard room is not a good choice. The deluxe room has better windows

Suman and the others are very kind and the service is perfect! Although the breakfast is simple, you can have as much as you want. You'll get a free bottle of mineral water everyday. The shower is hot, the WIFI is there and there is electricity and all this 24 houres a day, which is not common in Kathmandu due to the powercuts. I lived in room 403 for 11 nights and it felt like home! I had a lovely stay and will definitely book this hotel next time!

the rooms at the backsite are really dark because they only have a small window, so make sure you book a room at the frontsight!!

The staff is very very nice, you can ask what you want and they will try everything to help you. The rooms are fine, clean. The location is great, just a footstep from Thamel centre!

the boss is very very kind and we booked 14days nepal tour visit through the hotel. all of the activities are wondeful and the price is very cheap when we talked to the person during our visit.

Super friendly staff...central yet peaceful location....balcony (#403 ) for relaxing/smoking.

THe stuffs of Hotel Buddha Land were extremely friendly and the manager speaks Chinese language quite well, he gave us valuable tour advises and higher exchange rate than outside shop. The lobby is clean and the free breakfast is not bad. I would have no hesitation to recommend the hotel for its stuffs, quiet and convenient location.

The room is a bit small, the sheet was a little dirty and the shower head shall be fixed on the wall so the guests can have shower with their both hands,aha......

I like that it's like a home away from home. The staffs are very quick to include and embrace us, as one of them. And the owner of the hotel is very hospitable, to greet us and make arrangements for our trip personally. The staffs are all very mindful of our needs, and are very quick to respond to them. They are very reliable, especially for first time travelers to Nepal. And the hotel is very clean, electricity and hot water supply is constant.

The rooftop is not really a very conducive place to chill.

Very friendly and responsive staff, free Wi-Fi, quite clean (for Kathmandu level), good price-quality balance (again for Kathmandu), very good location, own shuttle (to-from airport or anywhere), quiet! Hot water 24-hours, backup electricity (lighting only, of course) for regular black-outs

For our final three nights we were again put in another nearby hotel which was of the same standard but were given breakfast at Bhudda Land. Again the hotel paid for our taxis to and from the airport.

After being picked up from the airport we were told we would be put in a different hotel nearby as they had had a group booking. We were given a pleasant room which was more spacious than those of the Buddha Land so were quite happy and were very well treated. However the staff at Bhudda Land were extremely friendly and even paid for our return taxi to the airport. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for it's staff, quiet but convenient location and value for money.

The rooms in the Buddah Land are small as are the bathrooms, with the shower being over the toilet, but if you accept this there were no negatives.

The manager Mr Bhanu is a great guy,always smiling,willing to help.He has a lots of activities to make you discover the country.A Driver allocated,shuttle from and to the airport.Breakfast included.We were even invited by the manager for dinner. Nepalese people are very nice,they love their country and they make you love it too.We had a great time there,and I highly recommend the hotel.A Great value for the price as well. I'm not easy to give you good review,being a world traveller(airline pilot),but this hotel for people that loves to live in simplicity is a must !

Just minor things not due the hotel.From time to time,electricity shortage,all over the country,but during the shortage,a few lights are available in your room,and this is not much disturbing.Internet a bit slow,but fast enough for basic internet purpose (email,news...)

You are in Thamel - all is around you: shops, food, working ATMs. Power outages are common in all Nepal, so don't blame the hotel. Good and fast wifi - works even if there's no electricity, it's your laptop battery which decides how long you can run it.

Staff was great! They helped us with planning daily trips and made recommendations and even helped us with making phone calls. We ended up doing an over night stay at Nagrakot and Hotel Buddha Land let us keep our luggage in the room which was nice but they even refunded us money for that one night we didn't sleep in the room. They could of easliy charged us. They made our stay in Kathmandu very nice. Very family oriented and very close to the Themal, approx. 1 min walking distance. Hotel provided a hot breakfast, internet, phone calls if we needed to... Even back to the United States at no charge!! If I needed help with needing anything they helped out. I tried to tip the staff members to say thank you but they said... No need... Sobit was great!! Thanks

There was some noise from some kids walking by at night but can't blame the hotel for that. We did loose power alot but I think this is common for most hotels.

My husband and I were very impressed and felt so comfortable the moment we walked out of the airport on our arrival. The hotel staff greeted us with a warm smile and when we were arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the owner himself and his assistant. Coffee and Tea were served throughout our stay. The rooms were very comfortable with hot showers even though it was basic amenities. Its just a stone throw away to almost everywhere you want to walk around to. I would greatly recommend Hotel Buddha Land and will definitely stay there on our return trip.

Like in nepal, electric cutting out at around 6pm but that is everywhere in nepal!

Bhanu, the hotel manager, was very helpful and the hotel staff was friendly as well. He offered us great value for money offers for a KTM city tour, Mt. Everest flight as well as hotel and city tour to Pokhara. He even exchanged our money of varying currencies at good rates. The location of the hotel is very ideal - right at the center and close to the airport. My friends and I liked our stay at Hotel Buddha Land. We made friends with Bhanu and the rest of the staff, including the tour guide they got for us, Bhuwan. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The location of hotel is right in the middle of Thamel market which provides you access to different shops and restaurants. Overall a good value for money.

Nepal has big problem with power outages. Regular Power comes only for 9-10 hours. Hotel has backup power but streets get dark and markets starts closing by 7 pm.

Friendly and helpful management, our whole trip got organised by Bhanu- our tickets to Pokhara, the trekking, the Kathmandu sight-seeing etc. Good location, walking distance to thamel. Air-port pick-ups.Polite, helpful staff.Good value.

No lifts. Our room was on the 4th floor, so quite a climb. Dining room is drab, could do with fresher tablecloths, a cleaner curtain at the door.The table mats were dirty.

The worst stay in Nepal. The bed sheet was dirty and it looked like never change: yellow and wet. I had to wear my jacket to sleep. Unbearable!!!
