all reviews » I went to Marrakech for a milestone birthday with my mother and chose Julien's riad based on the excellent reviews on letsbookhotel.com. I was not disappointed in the least as he lived up to the online accolades. We were there for four days and ate at the riad on three occasions, each time beating the next for innovation and taste. It was sad to leave as we met some amazing and open people and together there was laughter and learning about each other without feeling as if people were intruding . The owner gives a small tour through the Medina's streets, thats good cause its really difficult to adapt to the streets and find the way back to the Riad. But thats part of travelling and discovering the Medina. The staff its good and friendly, if you ask they can help you to choose what to do, and how to do the things you want in Marrakech. An extra point is: the Riad its a real one, Julien(the owner) keeps the Riad as a tradicional and original one, and he can tells you the history about the. Very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, authentic riad which has been restored with attention to detail by the owner, Julien. Inside the riad it's very quiet and tranquil, so it's a great place to chill out from the hustle and bustle going on outside its walls. The roof terrace is amazing!! You have to see it. Julien is very informative and helpful and even gave us a free tour to show us some of the less touristy, but interesting parts of Marrakech. We opted to eat dinner at the riad . The best way its to take a taxi back, its about 2 euros to go back, or less from the Jemaa al Fnaa square. Other thing is that the light dinner offered its expensive, for to small plates and a dessert (15€). But nothing that will do you prefer another place to stay. Nothing, only leaving. Our room had some ac issues. No biggie as temperatures were ok. - Wifi was weak and only available in the common areas.
