My partner and I have just spent a wonderful three nights at Riad Abaca Badra and we could not recommend this Riad00oh more highly! It was exceptional in every way! Firstly, the location was excellent, within 10 mins walking of the main square and attractions and the Riad itself was beautiful, with a lovely internal courtyard and traditional ceilings and furnishings. Our room was very spacious and extremely comfortable and the roof terrace is the perfect place to relax after a busy day explorin.

We did not have anything planned in advance, but with the help of our landlord everything went just fine. Whatever we found out, there was always a solution to make it real. The Riad was absolutely amazing and the two owners, Gilles and Dominique, made our stay extremely comfortable and easy. They even upgraded us to the suite since it was open. The location is perfect for exploring the souks, it's less than 10 minutes walk to Jemma el-Fna and close to all attractions. Our breakfast was hearty and gave us the opportunity to taste all kinds of Moroccan pancakes. There is nothing bad to say about this place and we definitely recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech. I . They cannot do enough to help you. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed with local tea and given a map. Gilles took loads of time to show us where we were, where to change money, ways to get to the popular sights and gave us advice about the local culture and what to suspect. This all proved invaluable. The room was always clean. The Riad is perfectly placed in a quiet area but close enough to all the "action". I would recommend this place time and time over. A fantastic Riad thats new furnishings makes you feel like you are in a top hotel but with the personal touch. The rooms were large, well furnished, and very clean and the upstairs area is a great place to get some sun and escape the busy Marrakech streets. Gilles was great in helping us set up up a Hamman appointment in advance and the dinner in the Riad is well worth it, we even booked a second night of food after we enjoyed the first so much. We got an upgrade to the junior suite yet we paid for just a standard double room! Breakfast was ready at the time we wanted it to have it. The Riad Abaca Badra is a relaxed, friendly and extremely comfortable guest house. The hosts Gilles and Dominique welcome you as old friends making you feel at home right from the start. Their cook Saumir prepared excellent Moroccan cuisine that was not matched by any restaurants that we visited. We asked for a double room and got two single beds put together which isn't ideal for a young couple but we made do. The only issue is that the Riad isn´t very well sign posted so the first time you arrive its good to see if they can meet you or to make sure you get exact directions. That we couldn't stay longer!. Our room was directly into the inner courtyard and the windows of bedroom and bathroom didn't close well so it's a bit of loss of privacy... Still we were lucky and didn't ear any noise in the bedroom. Leaving. Nothing! Excellent price, service and location. There was absolutely nothing we didn't like. room hot at night.
