The front desk staff were wonderful, especially Sara. She was always smiling and courteous, and very helpful. The hotel has a beautiful setting and the rooms are a wonderful size. We were upgraded when we arrived, and it was a fabulous surprise. Their tour guides that they use were great as well. Very knowledgeable and willing to help us negotiate prices. Hassan was our driver/guide to Essaouira, and Hamid was our tour guide for the market area.

I told the hotel the stay was a 60º birthday gift for my husband, and they invited us for a special cake, and they gave us a superior suite than the one I reserved. The best location to visit the city. We have the better experience for all our travels. If you want to visit Marrakesh, stay in Les Jardins de La Koutoubia. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is breathtaking! The pools, the gardens, the colors, all decoration and details are astonishing. Very good food in all restaurants. The Spa is also excellent. The staff was super every time. I think that the hotel should start separating its dining area for guests who smoke, and those of us who do not smoke. It is annoying and bad for our health when we choose a table to get away from smokers, and then the next one comes and sits right next to us. If you do this, it will make the hotel very unique and will attract those of us seeking comfort and a beautiful place to stay. The breakfast should be more diversified. Also some more maintenance would be appreciated in some areas: swimming pools decks, rest chairs and in the bedrooms. For a 5 star hotel these details need improvement. It's nightmare if you have your own car to reach the hotel, as its very difficult to drive in the narrow street, where the hotel is located, as well its not easy to park the car. The hotel location is very good for the first time visitor to the city, as its on walking distance to the main attractions, otherwise you can find some new built hotel with similar or higher standards, but with cheaper price in other parts of Marakesh city. Nothing really. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. Also the food in the morroccan restaurant was uninspiring and not very. Rather expensive, but considering the location and authentic design probably fair. No coffee or tea making facility (or iron) in suite. Limited information available in room for hotel facilities or excursions. The wi-fi, although free of charge, was hopless. Poor air conditioning in room. No faults found. Breakfast starts at 06:30. As early risers we were one of a few couples down at this time. The cooked items ie sausages, tomatoes, breakfast arrived cold and placed under oil burners to heat up!!!. The fact that every extra use cost money. Basic spa should by included. the morning café has no taste and orange juice is not pure not expected from 5stars hotel. Nothing. The standard of the breakfast- def not 5 or even 4 star. While staff were polite and friendly , quite often non were visible around the pool area. Thought the staff were rude especially in the indian resturant and at breakfast the service was really poor. Useless to say that service (especially in the front desk) is less than poor: it's arrogant and unfriendly. The breakfast buffet was poor and the supervisor there was arrogant, the staffs (waiters) at the restaurant where we had our breakfast was friendly and attentionated. Several rooms are next to a building site and building works starts early with a lot of loud machinery which is disturbing to guests. The negative experiences with hotel staff, however, will ensure that we never return. The air climatization not good The shower not good.
