  Family owned and operated. Victor, Manuel and Oneida all speak excellent English and were very helpful providing information both before I arrived and while I was staying with them. Very nice rooms with small kitchen area in the courtyard and a beautiful sitting area on a veranda on the top floor (3rd floor). - It was a beautiful charming place. ... what people say » I loved the decor. I relaxed in the Library and really enjoyed it. They had free coffee. The front office staff was so helpful. They gave out great advice and help and were so friendly. I would highly recommend it. It was not fancy, but charming, and easy to walk downtown.

  Best value for money helpful staff that responds fast simple but clean, bed good, WARM SHOWERS,( I stayed at the Mission the next nigh with some friends for 175 dollars a night: great ambiente, ocean view but cold showers, staff overwhelmed, they forgot we wanted breakfast early etc.The two hotels are walking distance from each other.)From San Mar... what people say » tin you can walk to the ocean, Marina, restaurants and shopping in 5 minutes or less, I felt save the police station is right across from the hotel.
