BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING. Very good selection breakfast buffet including Mexican / Continental / American choices. Really sets you up for the day. Surroundings are lovely as much of the original wildlife in the hotel's plot of land has been left in tact. Trees, flowers, iguanas, birds. Very pretty. Beach is lovely aside from being very busy but that is Playa Del Carmen. Beach bar was great with good Mexican food and good cocktails & happy hour. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful.
all reviews » The bungalows are in a splendid garden, like a jungle. They have terraces where you can stay in the hamac or armchair and enjoy the garden and shadow while reading a book. The beach is very close and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is rich with plenty of types of food and juices from which you can choose. I liked almost everything. es un hotel maravilloso, las habitaciones estan preciosas, no nos toco frente al mar, pero aun que estabamos a unos 150 metros de el, se escuchaba hermoso en la noche, altamente recomendable, la ubicacion es extraordinaria tambien. si vas a playa del carmen no dudes en quedarte ahi, el personal muy atento tambien. el desayuno es riquisimo y amplio. First of all I would like to note the location of the hotel and the area. Lovely little cabanas, with everything you need right on the Caribbean Sea. Great beach. A good breakfast. Loved the location, Ramon's cocktails on the beach, delicious breakfasts and the hotel environs... Lots of cute cozumel racoons pottering about- beautiful!. Everything was very good. Nice hotel on the beach. Main street of Playa del Carmen is near, but hotel is very quiet. Good breakfast. Its about the only quiet and comfortbale hotel in the resort. The rooms are great, the aervice very good and friendly. The grounds are beautiful & the casitas are charming. Third time there on the beautiful white sands. Food at the Fiesta Mexicana Buffet was not great but Mariachi band was wonderful. There is a beach club very close. They start to play very loud music every day starting from 10 am until 6 pm on weekdays and until 1 am on weekends. House music can be really annoying when you feel the base in your stomach a few hours a day especially when you would like to have peace and quiet, or even sleep at night. You cannot hear it in on the beach but in the palapas you cannot escape it since all the windows are open and the roof is made of straws so is practically open. I think that the price is not adequate high. The rooms are really gorgeous but the showers are awful- they require updating- they are nto a 4 star hotel standard. The beds are a little hard too. Playa del Carmen is not normally our type of sort. If this hitel did not exist, I dont think that we would come to the city. They now share the beach with others in condos that rent for less that you pay.So you have to fight for spots on the beach and lines for the bathrooms and breakfast..Staff used to be fun and personable now seem overworked and less attentive.
