Room surpassed my expectations and remarkably peaceful, considering central location and Day of the Dead celebrations going on all around. Staff were brilliant. Only stayed because Casa del Sotano full, but would definitely stay here again. Everything! The location was perfect - very close to the Zocalo and markets, but without any noise entering my hotel room. My room was clean and comfortable, and the cleaning staff was very attentive.

Room is fine for the price. There's no elevator - I didn't mind using the steps, but it may be a challenge for people with certain disabilities. We stayed on the ground floor and our rooms shower sprayed everywhere except at us.it was a bit noisy as voices and footsteps echo through the courtyard and downstairs area. No washcloth! Second hotel I stay in Mexico that doesn't provide a washcloth. Screens on the windows to keep mosquitoes out would be nice. Limited English, although that's really my fault for not speaking Spanish! the shower was either boiling hot or freezing, other than that Perfecto!. Very difficult, sometimes impossible, to adjust water temperature in shower. Not sure of relationship with tour folks but our tours could have been better. For instance, tour including Monte Alban was late and as a result, we had much too little time there; however we still had a full hour at a restaurant I could have done without. Wifi only available in indoor courtyard - would be better to have access in rooms too. Cleaning started a little early and was a bit noisy with the buckets being pulled around. Don't expect too much from the complimentary breakfast offered. too expensive!. The room had no ventilation-i think there has already been some comments on room choice-dont let then put you on the ground floor-the only window is the one that opens onto the central shaft-and you can hear everything. Bed was a bit small for two people.
