The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was large and clean. The beach was a short walk from the hotel and was really pleasant. I didn't use the pool but it looked nice and was very popular with the families and children! The breakfast selection was extensive. I had an evening meal in the bar which was tasty and not too expensive. Happy hour half price Tiger beer was a bonus! As was the lovely view over the marina as the sun went down. Overall, a very relaxing and satisfying st.
all reviews » We escaped from city and went there to have a well-earned rest for couple of days which happened exactly the way we wanted. Staff were friendly and polite. Room was clean and tidy. Comparing the money we spent and what we received I totally recommend it. We had our dog with us although they don't have space for pet but they guide us to a local pet shop. They sent one of their staff with me to be able to find the place. They've been so nice to us. As I said it was a great deal of value and comfo. We were blessed for having an uneventful and a memorable family holiday. Agreed that the price rather expensive and we had to top up due to additional pax (abt 3 pax) stayed at Straits Studio as we were reluctant to take on additional room for me teenager kids. Overall, the whole experience were an eye opener with joy as it was handled by readily smile, friendly and professional staff there. My kids enjoyed the freshness of swimming pool as it is outdoor. Will definitely come again. Thumb up.. The studio was a good option as it made a difference to the whole atmosphere of being by the beach. There was no balcony but the sliding door opened to the marina and it was a beautiful sight. Service was excellent except that check in time was at 3pm, but the room was not ready until 4pm. They let us check out a little late so that was ok. Swimming pool was nice, breakfast was ok. very nice and relaxing atmosphere . a great place to get away to from the busy work and hectic city routine and spend quality time with family in a clean and comfortable place with very friendly and pleasant staff. from the time you arrive till you check out the staff are simply great even on a busy peak season ... hats off to the team of people providing the service. This place is nice. I stayed in room type straits studio facing the sea. The view was very beautiful. Since i came with small children, it was very convenient to have holiday & honeymoon here. There is sofabed already in the room. No need for me to request another bed for my kids. The room size quiet big. It was hastle for guest going back to room with wet attire. - staff could be more a little more pleasant but they were not rude - breakfast was not up to par for a hotel like this. No Wifi in the room, but they do provide cable for internet, so do bring your laptop, if you must stay on line. The breakfast is basic & with flies going round the food! Gym is only with 3 threadmills:(. None. but I wish the hotel can built a slide at the kids swimming pool so kids will have more fun. Swimming pool is quite small and very crowded during peak season. mediocre food... Breakfasts not good. We did not eat in hotel as menu not very inviting but also too far to walk and far too many steps to climb to get to the restaurant. Not suitable for older people like myself! I had two massages which were good, but no privacy and men were able to walk in and out. Also 3 massage beds in the one and only room. I did not like this at all and certainly think it is dreadful that men are allowed in. - room was a bit hot, but with the aircon and the fan it was sorted out. Buffet breakfast not very interesting.Wondering why no nasi lemak and indian bread to serve everyday.It a must menu.Restaurant staff not very friendly ,very hard to offer assistant like open door,child seat.Then why the egg station outside from buffet area ?Unless if many item to put outside. Shower waterclog. I'm stayed at premium room 8th floor. TV remote control having problem and has been reported but no action taken. The TV is not centre facing the bed and you need to practically stand up and comes close to the tv on the wall, and point behind the to change channel. Our room bedsheet also with stains but the housekeeping do a good job to change it as soon as we informed them. there's no bathtub in the room and we are coming for anniversary stay but no special arrangement given anyway. Too far from PD Town if you intend to go for a shopping trip. Too far too walk have to take cab out. No shop nearby. I experienced several electric shocks when I tried to turn off the hot shower. The remote controls for the tv and fan did not work. But we were immediately given another room when we complained. TV channels were limited. There was no beach on the hotel premises. No 3G in the room which I stayed. Need to go outside or at the lobby to get better coverage. Please place face towel for the bathroom as that would be more convenient. Insufficient lifts especially with the tour group checking in from China. Very loud voice from the tour group. Even at pool side, they were talking but shouting at each other. limited covered parking space. the diner buffet and breakfast buffet were cold if you didnt get there within 30mins-1 hour of opening time. Should open a convenient shop within hotel rather than asked to drive out to town for groceries or goodies. Not enought covered carpark. Prefer more package offer and promotion and do extend the breakfast time period as from 7.30am until 11am. The place is also great place for team building sessions. It could be crowded sometimes. wifi only available at certain area. Difficult to find local return to hotel transport . Long walk to nearest shops . TV is LCD but the channels not upgraded properly. Food was very average bordering bad (both dinner at the sailor bar and breakfast buffet). Reception counter a bit small. No bath tub which I really like during my stay in any hotel. It was ok. Rooms not well maintained. Food not so tasty, lack of variety. Port Dickson is a boring empty place (for me). Wifi only in the reception area. I cannot get down to the marine ship side to take photo. Breakfast limitation - no egg station, staff at breakfast not friendly Stayed there 3 times, the latest was on 3rd floor and room had cockroaches. Due to lower level? Airconditioning could at least have adjustable louvers, location of the console to change TV channels were 'hidden' behind the TV making it impossible to change channels from the front of the TV. Have to move to the side to change. Quite absurd. food could be better. 1. Our rooms are not ready and we got the rooms 1 hour after our arrival (about 4.00 pm). 2. The towels provided were smelly and not clean. We ask for extra towel but they refuse to give. 3. There's no shop in the hotel.
