Location of hotel is in Chow Kit which is famous for the morning pasar/ wet market. It is a few mins walk there from hotel. Other than that, there is generally nothing much to do in Chow Kit as the major/popular shopping malls are located some distance away. The nearby MRT station provides good accessibility to these areas though for those who do not drive. There are limited parking lots in front of the hotel and I would say it is generally safe to park your car there as there is a guard statio.
all reviews » The staff were delightful and couldn't do enough for us. The room for a really good size for 3 people with a view of the local market, mosque and the Petronas Towers in the distance. Fantastic location virtually opposite the monorail so easy to get to from the airport (via the KLIA Ekpress). Interesting area with lots of shops, restaurants. The market down the side street was an amazing experience - don't miss this! This hotel is highly recommended. Stylish hotel tucked away in a non tourist part of KL. Great market next to the hotel & 200m from the city transport network. Clean & A/C rooms with modern design. Room size OK for a base when exploring, would be hard if in it all day. Staff really friendly and helpful - we were able to store our luggage on last day and collect in evening before travelling on.... nice touch. A staff is so kind that on request, they can arrange for you the tickets for Petronas Twin Towers. We will never forget the cake which they gave us for our 5th anniversary. The hotel is really recommendation worthy. The hotel is just right across the street from the monorail station; it's really convenient. There's a 7-11 two buildings away. The internet is fantastic, it's fast, free, reliable, and available anywhere in the hotel (even in the rooftop). The rooms are new, clean, spacious, and comfortable. The TV has some English channels. There's complementary coffee and bottled water everyday. Location was just perfect, just beside Chow Kit monorail station which brought us to center in seconds. The market next to the hotel was a real treasure for foodie like me.Hotel stuff was extremely kind&friendly. I've lost room key card and there was absolutely no problem to renew it. The taxi on the street besides hotel to Batu caves was only 17rm and to klcc airport 80rm. The location is very comfortable: near train station Chow kit, taxi from hotel to KL central where you can get train express to airport is 10 ringgit (if you wil manage to convince a driver to use meter;). The room is equipped very modest but all necessary things are in place: safe box, hot water, air conditioner, drinking water, pretty new and modern furniture and etc. CrossRoads Hotel was a great place to stay for a weekend. It is located literally steps away from the monorail station. The room was clean and elegant. There is a taxi stand right downstairs (if you are not comfortable doing it the "local" way. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. I would certainly stay here again when I visit KL for the 3rd time. The location is very convenient to the Monorail and to the Chow Kit wet market. There aren't much restaurants or fastfoods around the neighborhood, so make sure you eat before you get back to the hotel. The ac above bed was blowing directly into face, wish it was above room entrance door. We have stayed in Standart and Family deluxe rooms: both of them need new bed covers and towels as all of them look old, with yellow stains. They are freshly laundered but look disgusting. I had noisy neighbors the first night, but my next 3 nights were quiet. There was a door that connected to the next room, presumably so people can rent adjoining rooms. The problem is that noise travels easily, and cigarette smoke can come into the room through the floor gap. The shower is very eco-friendly, so not much water pressure. The hotel was surrounded with a lot of Malay and Indian restaurants..It's kinda troublesome for the Chinese local people...They would have to take the monorail to other places for their food... - room was a bit smaller than we expected from the pictures, but okay anyway, not a problem even for 3 adults :). The standard rooms have very little amenities but once again for the price you pay, it's more than enough. I'd recommend the delux and above if you have a little more to spare cos those are just lovely. Nothing. Nothing really... A little to far from the center of the town , and bad neightborhood. As a family, going from one room to the other was a hassle. I wish there was a door between the two rooms instead of having to lock my room and knock on the other room door every now and then. Not a big deal though. Nothing!. No windows in the rooms. First we got room without view even though in reservation it said we would have one. The manager organized another one promptly after complaining. A bit nosy from street, but after all it is in a city.. so it's to be expected. Be aware that some rooms are internal & don't have windows. Air con is good tho. Expected breakfast to have greater variety of food for breakfast. Thought that breakfast price was a bit expensive for the service that we got. as per the pictures, booking rooms are not the same. There was a lot of noise the first night...they told us there was a group of excited people and that they left. It was true, the next night was quiet. We also had to change room because the air conditioning was not cold. The other room was fine but very small. Also, neither rooms had windows. The hotel is located in a very "local" area, so there are only small local food stands, without english menus. The hotel is far from the airport (45min by taxi...about 35$). Hmm.. Just no much chinese food there. Do not supply slippers in the room. - The price doesn´t include breakfast ;-(. The surrounding area is not clean and the aircon is not properly maintained. Nothing. the aircon in our family room was bad. it's not cooling. Bathroom ventilation was poor. Also, since the hotel was on the main road, there was too much noise from the traffic, although nothing can be done about it. Nothing major. I would complaint about the toilet door that could not lock from the inside. Maybe the management would like to change the door or add lock to the glass door. If i was traveling alone, that would be fine. It was hard when in groups... Some rooms are a bit noisy - you can hear street noise... - limited parking lots. There was a lack of restaurants around the actual hotel but that didnt put us off as we just jumped on the monorail. None. The hotel is in a busy market area, the rooms/windows are not insulated. There is a lot of noise, day and night. The close area of the hotel has not much to offer. breakfast is not included in the room rate. Nothing. Noise from the street from early morning.
