Comfortable room with excellent soundproof. Nice seaview from room 903. Big interior, so hope you will get a room near to lift. Everything of The Zon is good.. Must go to the 'Tai Son Restaurant', located in front of hotel. They have nice foods, with outside seats with sea breeze/view:) 'De Paradise' located beside hotel is a building filled with ktv/pub/bistro.. No worries on not having nightspots.. Cheap singing sessions at The Zon shopping mall level 4.
all reviews » As I am a singaporean, location was awesome. near to ciq. and the view was nice maybe because we were at the top level. In house dining was fast serve too. overall.. Good job. Keep up the good work. The staff are all friendly especially the duty manager assigned on that day (May4-5,2013) very polite and answered all are queries and helped us with our room aircon problem. 2nd time stay.. with connecting rooms, #13 with full sea view.. Good massage at The Zon Mall's Massage Parlour.. RM45 for 60mins.. Location was near seafood restaurants. Very clean rooms. Very nice room layouts. The checking is a bit slow would appreciate if you can look into it. Strategically locate at Singapore border. Free Duty Shops. Hotel location is good...room very cozy & clean.. A very run-down hotel, but the staff was friendly. 1. About location- at free duty zone. Poolside bar is closed, no longer running I guess. Got to go thru their 'custom' as it is a duty-free zone, but they don't really check. At least 10mins to more foods and shopping by car. Carpark is abit scary. maybe I didnt know or notice but the carpark security really need a frequent visit to make sure it safe. Check the equipment of the room. for eg: "main door card activator" is loose and luckily we get hold of it by pressing it down n in harder. if not it will be wasting our time to go looking for maintenance. so before handing over the "keys", do check. Only hope that The Zon Mall can be better.. Pool was abit dirty but that's ok.Other than that, nothing.We actually went back to the hotel a over the same weekend!. Very loud musics from the bar. The shopping complex very quite less attractive shop & dine.. Unfortunately it's abit disturb at night with the noise from the nightclub below..and we went back to the hotel quite late and we found it's was dark and dim light along the corridor..if the hotel management could improve on that it will be better on safety purpose. The hotel a bit old, parking space a lot but need to go up to 6th floor to access the hotel easier. Facilities in room were poor, no room service menu, no underlay on mattress, towels of poor quality, no bathmat, handtowel or face washer, bathroom had broken tiles and chipped and marked walls. The carpeting looks old and dirty. Should do some renovation on the carpet and rooms/toilet. old hotel, need refurbishment. TV should have been Flat screen. More creative creations for anniversary / birthday. Parking was too far. Shopping Centre was not so impressive. The hotel parking is far from the hotel rooms. Internet/ wifi access in the room was very very poor.. The downside are, the toilet bowl was dirty, looks clean from exterior but the interior part which can see the dirts and its really disgusting. Unable to watch TV3 which actually the main channel for malaysia. The room looks a bit old maybe needs a modern make over. I Requested Extra large bed and was told I can have 2 adjoining singles. I had paid for with breakfast included only to be asked to pay. The pillows were disgustingly dirty, one contain blood stains. WIFi was extremely poor at all times in my 5 day stay! Regardless of the weather conditions. A family of very young children were placed in the room next to me and were screaming loud!. Room has no tissue box No vanity top towel Shower water pressure was too weak Room aircon was not strong even at its lowest temp...stuffy in the middle of the nite Breakfast was a disaster with many empty chafing dish that were not refilled and selection was poor..service staff couldnt cope with the restaurant filled up by tour groups...it was a messy sight....not appetising at all...not worth the price paid. The hotel is a bit too old. As it was the Hari Raya weekend, the hotel seemed understaffed and we had to wait quite long for check-in. Also the breakfast buffet could do with more choices. During my check in to the hotel, two unexperienced trainees is mending the front desk without any other staffs to guide them. Very tourists unfriendly and unprofessional. The aircon filter was very dirty and this cause the aircon to be not so cold. Think they need to do some servicing. noisy, we stayed at level 14 but had trouble sleeping at night cos they always have bands playing and we could hear them loud and clear from our room up till midnight. 1) aircod in room sometimes not function properly 2) the room key(swipe card) always malfunction. the room is very eerie, and the smell of newly fresh paint is not so nice. Bad wifi in room. Shopping complex smells. The furniture and carpet are old and dirty, thus does not reflect a luxurious hotel. WiFi was intermittent and sometimes non existant. Aircon not cold. Not clean especially the carpet along the way from carpark area to lobby is smelly. felt not secure because the way from carpark to lobby or room is dark and can't find any CcTv along the way and too far from parking to room or lobby. none smoking room is smelly like smoking room. The interior quite old.dirty curtain.im feel like im staying in a ghost house. que at reception while check-in. The hotel need some tender loving care. Plugs falling off from the wall. TV set meant for the museum. Poor wireless coverage. Breakfast buffet was very surprisingly bad. Didn't like the carpark which is too far away from hotel lobby. The room service was horrible. Imagine checking in at 3pm and wanted to bath but room not ready and wanted to bath but to my amaze there was no towel. Call recep to get a shocking reply. No towel till 5pm. Walk to the chamber maid and was given only 1 towel. And being promise to add 1 more for me. No towel until I check out. i) Staff not friendly during check in, only entertain by trainee staff. ii) Guest parking far from room location, iii) Lack information, just know during check out for parking location. very noisy at night. the entertainment at the lobby area was really annoying. didnt provide towel until I call for housekeeping, and requested 2 times before they send to me. wifi connection is slow. Way below 5 star experience. 1.Hotel balcony condition- dirty and smelly.
