the hotel is quite new and perfectly located on the gulf of Aqaba with private beach and nice swimming pool (and more is being built). Modern design in the interiors. all reviews » Very nice hotel, with all the facilities you need. Pool is superb, beach is lovely. Staff is friendly; many people from the Philipines. Minibar is inclusive in the room rate (great), as well as the use of the sauna and steam room. Food is quite expensive, and there are not many alternatives (other than the other resorts nearby). We had dinner twice in Aqaba (Captains dinner and Ali Baba) and both meals were very nice (and much cheaper!). The amazing view over the sea from the balcony and the big ships in the water which created an impressive view. The puristic and luxury design of the hotel rooms and its pool with the beach. Overall they offer very good activities like scuba diving, jet ski etc. The weather was perfect around 30 degrees throughout the day going until late in the night. One of the best hotels I've been. Wonderful service, very nice and quiet, no screaming kids, nice pool and private beach. It is Very much recommended to go to the market which is located south to McDonald's and Ali Baba restaurant (not worth wasting time on her) and eat delicacies for pennies and experience friendly Arab city. There should be wifi in the rooms!. The pricing for food and accommodation was very high- admittedly due to the Eid Holiday. The dress code at the breakfast left us puzzled:While women were allowed dresses with open shoulders our 11 yr old boy had to cover and was not admitted to breakfast. And that feels even stranger after 3 evening shows with a half naked bellydancer with kids watching. Staff very slow at lunch restaurant - waited 45min for a pizza. Nothing. Honestly - nothing. food a bit too expensive. Price for beer on the beach was too much. and it did not have the champagne breakfast like the Keminski at the Dead Sea - that would have made it perfect. I reserved via letsbookhotel.com double bed and they gave me twin bed. But it was nice. kid's pool bottom has a rough surface that caused skin irritation, the beach is really short and not good for walking or running. We had to leave the room at 12:00 and stay in the lobby for more than 8 hours to go to the airport for departure. Room service (cleaning) is not good enough for 5 stars hotel. The view on the port is not charming at all and there is a new hotel close to the Kempinsky which is still building so a lot of works and not good landscape. The gardener mows the lawn at 6 a.m which is noisy and we don't have the wireless access from the room (only in lobby). We gave bags of presents (which including alcohol because we could not go into Kempinski with alcohol) at the reception and they did not return us our wine bottles. Expensive food and drinks. -The bad smell in the hotel room- no idea if it was due to the air-con or the cleaning chemicals -since the harbour of Aqaba is very limited in size, you will notice industrial grounds and very large transportation ships near by. Level of service (at the beach and front desk), water too cold at the swimming pool, noise in the room (vmc, construction building next to the hotel), price of the 2 restaurants (The Walk & Fish in) because the food isn't excellent. We could not bring in our food from a fast food place as they told us it was against their policy. No wifi connection in rooms, only lobby or restaurant. Tiny hotel, can get crowded easily, not much facilities. Dinner at restaurant closes at 10.30 -- that's bad. Not professional act at all from one employee in front desk, he told me " we have enough guests " when i told him to be more calm if he wants me to come back. the staff of the reception were not coaprative enough. Nothing.
