  Very clean hotel, situated in a very busy and lively part of Tokyo. The hotel is quite close to the JR train station and the subway station (5-10 min walk) and there are plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Still it is much better than other hotels! Will definately choose it again when I go back to Tokyo! - This was a brilliant place: it's genuinely no frills, without being sparse, rude and uncomfortable. This is a new building, with OK-sized rooms, which were clean and comfortable. While there next-to-none facilities outside the rooms, this was fine and made sense. Its excellent location (5 mins' walk to jr Hamamatsucho, 20 mins walk from Ginza and Tsukiji fish market, 30 mins on foot and by Monorail to hnd for instance) meant one could get around very easily.

  The family room was perfect for our family of 5. The bedroom was spacious and relatively large for a city known for small hotel rooms. The apartment staff Chiseko San was very helpful with maps and very prompt replies to all my queries. Although Takenotsuka is little way off from the city, the charming neighborhood had plenty to offer. Less rooms means that the rooms are huge (we stayed in both a Japanese tatami and Japanese modern, both different but equally lovely) and the service is exceptional and personalised.   The staff were fantastic, even the ones with little English. The room was spotless. Our kids loved the traditional bedding and the staff were also very kind to the kids. Its a reasonably close to Shibuya but work out the easy back streets it saves heaps of time. We checked out at 10am but were not flying out to 8pm. I highly recommend this hotel. - Really lovely staff. They speak english which was really good after 16hrs of travel. The rooms were very comfortable. Room was a pretty good size. Had no problems with noise from outside or from other guests. Pretty good location. Only 15 mins from Shiduya station which means it's connected to everywhere in Tokyo. Also nice to come back to the hotel and have hot water for tea waiting. A lovely touch.
