Having stayed at the Family Inn Saiko for almost a week I have to say that the whole experience has been a truly pleasant one! In fact, I would go even so far as saying that it was one of the most pleasant experiences in a few years worth of travelling.
Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and make one immediately feel at ease.

I loved how friendly and helpful the hotel staff was and how willing they were to assist me in my travels as well as answer my questions and concerns. The room was VERY clean and comfortable and it was a great Japanese cultural experience. It was conveniently located close to 3 subway stops, including the Ikebukuro station. I definitely enjoyed my stay here and if I am ever in Tokyo again, I will be staying here again! I have already recommended the Family Inn Saiko to friends!

Spacious rooms, free router (wifi) in the room upon request. The hotel exudes luxury but the rates are not as high as the Ritz Carlton's. View from the restaurant at the 30th flr is amazing - we even saw Mt. Fuji! Also, it is accessible to shopping malls (free shuttle bus) and the Daiba station is connected to it.

These were my 2nd and 3rd stays at this small and cosy hotel. I like everything about it. The service at this hotel went above and beyond. When we asked for a
recommendation of a good sushi restaurant, the concierge actually ran
out to a place, got us a table, and then walked us there! Impressive.
The place is lovely--much nicer than even the photos could illustrate--
and in a great location, near trains, shops, and great restaurants. The
public baths are wonderful, and a marvelous breakfast was

This is a Lovely ryokan style hotel in Asakusa. Our room was spacious and elegant, with a lovley (green) tea set and Cold water supplied (I cheated by making black tea...). The baths on second floor aren't very big, but not crowded at all. We also had a bathroom in our room.

I've been staying at ryokan Sansuiso 2-3 times a year for the past 15 years. The value for the price is great. Don't expect the Ritz here, this is a small traditional style Japanese inn, the tatami mat rooms are small with fouton for sleeping. In the past few years they have upgraded to non-pay, flat screen TV's and free WiFi. There are a few ... what people say » rooms with full toilet/bath, but most share a communal bath/shower and toilet (single person use at a time not communal bathing). These are very clea -
Awesome in general. The staff were consistently thoughtful and happy, and jumped through hoops for us whenever we had even the smallest questions. They are more than kind, and the services offered are definitely appropriate to the price. Of course, the location is also brilliant, right on the Yamanote train line (Gotanda Station), and has a grocery store and many restaurants nearby.
Over the course of our time in Tokyo this place absolutely felt like home and we would recommend it without thin
