The staff are excellent. Impeccably courteous, of course, friendly, and helpful. The room was spacious, and had two views, as it was a corner room. One overlooked a nice garden. It was quiet and restful, yet convenient to subway stops and really nice and (seriously) inexpensive restaurants (just beside the nearby ana Hotel, part of the shops which are part of the Suntory Hall complex). There are plenty of competitive shops on the streets near the hotel, so you're in no way hostage to the hotel .
all reviews » The Hotel Okura is well maintained and a traditional Japanese atmosphere. The Staff is super friendly and courteous. Bed was comfortable, the bathroom, small but clean and with everything you might need. Very clean in general. Decoration of the Hotel is a minimalistic Japanese style. Amazing hotel, it's 50 year old charm and beatutiful ikebana made the foyer a great place to relax. We had a huge room with a very comfy bed and prompt room service in the morning. We would definitely stay here again. Clean, very Japanese. Very friendly and actively helping staff. Location is convenient, 35min from Haneda airport and 1.5hours from Narita, located near Roppongi area, with 5min walk to Hibiya Line Kamiyacho Station. Excellent staff, friendly and professional. the location of the hotel is good, in a quiet area, within walking distance to the Tokyo tower and subway stations. The room was comfortable. its traditional luxurious ambiance brings you back to olden times. its gym is quite good and both of the swimmingpools are not only for relaxing : lenght and services above the average. everything, the Okura is in a class of its own. not the most modern hotel in the world, but service, atmosphere, comfort, location, all is there. One of the best. large rooms by tokyo standards, staff was great working with us (2 families with teenagers) and helping us with directions and subway information. English speaking, friendly, knowledgable staff. Spacious rooms. Front desk/valet personnel. Concierge service... All good. Stay here...!. Overall experience as a business traveler and tourist. Okies is a well managed hotel, much outdated but kept clean. Quite expensive perhaps due to strength of yen and so next visit which is a week from now has to stay at courtyard hotel due to. Ost considerations. Good location. location is good, but doesnt justify the price!. Service Culture Efficient Freindly. The carpet probably is due for replacement, and my guess is that it will have been replaced by my next visit. The room was a little small but the view was very nice. There is a connection to the South Wing of the hotel where you have to go down and up the stairs and even though there is a handicapped provision, it was never available for use. We travel with our small son and a stroller and had to carry the stroller up and down several times. I think the Handicapped platform could be more available for this use or the need of a small lift would be useful. It's expensive, but that's to be expected. And for a special occasion, this hotel is worth it. Nothing. breakfast, gym and swimmimpools not included in all the room rates. there is nothing not to like. Nothing... The accounting entries on the Statement Of Account upon Check-Out is not clear and precise enough which leads to confusion. Comparing the price, the room looks not so nice. We can't find some good resturant around the hotel. None. Prefer South Wing due to closer proximity to my business activity. Room rate. The hotel is very dated and consequently overpriced. It is possible to get a far nicer hotel for the same money. 1) value for money! I expected much better rooms for this price, specially that we stayed the week before at another 5 star hotel, (Conrad hotel) with MUCH bigger and nicer rooms and shower and great location too. 2) the shower were really small and the room looked very old. Old faded hotel With curtains open the neighbouring offices have direct view in to your hotel room Bathroom was small and old Poor bathroom soaps etc.
