After a minor problem we where conducted to a suberb room, extremely well conceived, a room not only big, but with a wonderful view from the living room and the bathroom. The kitchen is fully furnished, we had breakfast in the morning sitting in a very nice veranda. An Hakodate is a place to visit. Finally, the hotel is extremely well located, in between the station and the historical district.

Chalet Ivy Hotel is a beautiful building in Kutchan; the room is very new, clean and modern; we can see a peace and beautiful Mt. Yotei from the room; the bed are soft and comfortable, all staffs can speak a good standard English, they are friendly and helpful. I take this opportunity of thanking them, especially is Mr Jung, he provided us many suggestions for the trip planning once we booked the hotel.

Parking right next to hotel and it is near some good restaurants within walking distance. better drive if you are visiting as the attractions are quite far apart...best to visit in August but that will be peak season
