The location of the hotel was good for us. The hotel staff was very helpful and was able to communicate rather fluently in English. The view from our room was spectacular - facing the sea, so that was a bonus. Our twin room was clean and spacious and the bathrooms really roomy by Japanese standards. Access to the airport is direct and easy, no changing stations. This is a real plus when you have heavy luggage to lug around. The elevator from the hotel to the station floor really helps too.
all reviews » Really easy to get to from Kansai Airport and to go to Namba (10 mins away) as it is attached to the station. Very comfortable with fantastic view. Sakai is out of Osaka proper but is very built up. Very friendly polite staff but generally with only limited English. Wonderful patisserie. Truly tremendous Hotel with classy facilities. Conveniently attached to the Sakai Train Station on the main line halfway between Kansai Airport and Osaka City. The was an arcade in sakai station which was just a 1 minute walk from the hotel. Sakai station will not be able to use the Japan rail pass because it is operated by Nankai railway line. Only a 25 minute train ride from Umeda and Universal studios. Great location, short ride from KIX Airport and Osaka Center, walking distance to the Sakai Station with many restaurants and small shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Connected to a major rail station with footbridge. 12 minute ride to Nanbo. 40 minute ride to airport. Good sea view. Good value for money. It was very closte to the sakai train station. We requested non-smoking rooms but somehow the room still smells of cigarette smoke. There's also no 24 hour convenience store very close by. Other than that, no complains at all. Don't let them do your laundry without proper information. We asked about doing some washing and it was picked up and returned - each item ironed and individually wrapped -even underwear. Cost $65 for 4 shirts, a nightie and underwear. Discovered forms later where we could stipulate what we wanted done. Big mistake! Also charged us for a supposed free overseas call to Cashpassport. Absolutely nothing to dislike. Highly recommended. No sightseeing site nearby. The breakfast is a little overpriced. Swimming pool must to pay.. Some staff are not fluent on the English language considering it is a large four star city hotel. nothing. room service and restaurant hours popr for a hotel of that class. no turistic places in the area. Bed can be improved. No b'fast offered. Needs to be renovated, english from staff not good enough. Very limited choice for breakfast Not much to see in Sakai city itself.
