We were being budget conscious at the time we stayed and so didn't eat at the restaurant as we heard it was on the expensive side. The spa facilities at the Prince were very enjoyable especially the outdoor spa. - the hotel is clean and comfortable and the onsen is fabulous! there are one bath inside and one outside, sauna and places to wash yourself. position on the lake is spectacular but a bit isolated and restaurants in the hotel are expensive. they have a free shuttle service from Odawara station.

THEY HAVE FREE SHUTTLE TO BB - The basic facilities provided are enough for budget travellers, like the hot water provided in every floor, nice pastries for breakfast including tea, coffee and juice. Share bathroom is very clean. The shutter bus provided is a plus as well. It is not easy to get dinner nearby so we took the advice from the other travellers, we got the bento or ate our dinner before we go back to the pension.

  We arrived in thick fog with not much of a visibility. The good thing was that there was someone from the hotel with our name in a list who met us at the bus stop and showed the way. The hotel is in a good, quiet location close to the main street but not directly on it. The post office, port with sightseeing boats, a few stores and restaurants are... what people say » fairly close. You can use the onsen which is open almost 24/7. In the morning, we were served a fairly elaborate Japanese-style breakfast. - I like the service of the hotel crew, they are very friendly and good service. Although most of the crew do not speak much English but they'll try to help.

  1, Hot Spring I did not expect Hot spring at all but they had hot spring in the hotel. Water was so good and I had great time at hot spring. Definitely I can recommend this place. 2. Good location Even though I had to walk a little bit from bus stop to hotel(around 10min on foot) but if I ride on the bus I could access Hakone area. 3. Kind/Polite staff Even though front desk staff could not spe - The atmosphere in the hotel was very peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and reasonable.   Really felt at home here, the onsen was very relaxing and great they had both public and private bath options. We had both breakfasts (included) and dinners both nights we stayed and were excellent with much variety. It was close to the T bus stop and the ropeway. - That a really traditional Japanese place! The nature around it is excellent! And ... what people say » the have few onsens. You can order private time for free. Breakfast was also Japanese-stile. It was interesting experience. The stuff speak English well.

The hot spring bath within the room was excellent, with a forest view, television, and direct access to the bathroom and room.
