Excellent location right next to the train station (as the name suggests). Good base for exploring charming Matsumoto. Staff are very friendly and generally have a good level of spoken English. Rooms are small but comfortable. Wifi signal was very strong in the rooms (enough to support Skype video calls). Good communal baths on the 7th floor. Woul

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The location of this hotel near the train station, made it very convenient to get to from the Shinkansen. The hotel staff were very friendly and they helped us find four of the towns free bikes so that we were able to see Matsumoto castle before it closed. The lounge next to the bar was also really nice to hang out at and have a few drinks.

Very clean and comfortable, the hotel has an onsen on site and offers free bicycle rental.

It's location is excellent being just opposite Matsumoto station. Next to it is McDonald's and lots of food options. It is an unassuming hotel, good value for money. Though rooms are small but it has everything one needs. There was even a water dispenser in the lobby that most Jap hotels do not have. -

This is my favorite hotel so far during our trip in Japan. This is a
lodge in the mountains, so don't expect luxury (we had shared
bathrooms) or a traditional japanese ryokan-like hotel. That said, the
lodge was clean and the beds were comfortable. What made this place
special was the cozy atmosphere and beautiful location in the mountains.
