    Everything! This is my first (and only) stay in "riokan", so I can not compare it with other "riokans", but I really enjoyed "riokan experience" in Annex Katsutaro. Very, very, very friendly and helpful staff!!! Very convenient, useful and cute map of surrounding area is provided for all guests. Good location (close to metro and train stations, go... what people say » od connection with Narita airport, 24h-open convenience stores nearby). Pleasant, enjoyable surroundings. Very comfortable "floor-bed". :-) All neces - Lovely, clean small hotel, with large, bright rooms by Japanese standard. The staff is very helpful and they speak good English. It is located in a nice, quiet environment close to shops, restaurants and about 10 minutes walk from the train station. The Nippori station is on the main "circle" line which takes you to Tokyo, Shibuya, Shinjuku, and other places of interest without the need to change the trains.     This place is fantastic, great friendly english speaking staff, lovely Japanese style Tatami rooms (Futon on Mattress), which are a great size, and very comfortable, with normal Shower & Toilet unlike many manufactured Bathrooms in Japanese Hotels. Two supermarkets within 3 minutes walk on the main road parallel to the Hotels street, one is 24... what people say » hours. All the bars & restaurants of Asakusa are at your doorstep. Tawaramachi "Tokyo Metro" Station on the Ginza Line within 5 mins walk, Senso- - Returned here for the 4th time now, and what can I say, I have not already said. Its just a great little place, in a fantastic location, with great friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable with all you need. 3-4 mins walk to Tsukuba Express Station and 5 mins to Tawaramachi Metro Station. Close to Ueno, with the Ueno Zoo and Ueno Park which is lovely in Cherry Blossum season, and the Zoo has the cute Panda’s.     This is a Lovely ryokan style hotel in Asakusa. Our room was spacious and elegant, with a lovley (green) tea set and Cold water supplied (I cheated by making black tea...). The baths on second floor aren't very big, but not crowded at all. We also had a bathroom in our room. Staff was very helpful and most of them spoke English.     First time staying at a capsule hotel. I quite liked it. Females only capsules. It's nothing fancy or anything, but it is great value for the price you pay to stay in Tokyo. Even though I think it's quite safe with your luggage there in the common area, I would still advise you to bring a lock for your luggage if you don't normally bring one just ... what people say » in case. - Location was really close to Sensoji Temple and all the beautiful streets of Asakusa. People working there was very kindly and our first night we got a very good recommendation for having dinner (and cheap) and we also are very thankful because they help us to get into a Sumo training at Ryogoku.

    I've spent 8 nights at this wonderful ryokan, with my daugther and a friend of her (both teenagers) and... we really liked everything! Our room was large, comfortable, and full of light. Large futons, nice pillows, heavy curtains to block the light from entering the sleeping room, made us sleep very well. We enjoyed both the japanese and the continental breakfast. The s - This hotel is in a really great location. Close to the Asakusa Gate and temple and there are many small shops and restaurants close by. For Tokyo staying in Tokyo as a family of 4 we had plenty of space in a traditional Japanese room. I would stay again without hesitation.

    We had a 1 month trip around Japan :- Tokyo(Asakusa), Tokyo(Yokahama), a cruise, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka & back via Helsinki. Throughout Japan we were impressed by the politeness, friendliness & cleanliness & we are sure all hotels at all levels meet the same standards. This was a traditional Ryokan & needed getting used to ! It w... what people say » as perfectly located right in the middle of the oldest suburb of Tokyo, close to a temple, market street & river. It is however a unique experienc - Hotel is a quiet and peaceful haven in a busy, interesting area, just minutes away from many things to see and excellent traditional shopping. Staff are helpful, although it will help if you can speak a little Japanese. I have stayed in their tatami rooms before and this time stayed in a single (western style) room which was spacious for a single. Good to have free wifi, unlike many hotels. Tip - buy the koto cd at the reception desk as a memento.

    Everything worked well. The shower, which is attached to the sink and I thought would be rubbish worked really well. We were very comfortable. It was all really clean. Because it's so tiny I don't know how comfortable it would be for a long stay but for one night it was great. - Everything else.
