Great, efficient, very friendly, clean. Note that there isn't wi-fi but there's a computer to use. You can't leave your bag for a while once you'e checked out, but if you're staying multiple nights you can leave it throughout the in-between days, if that makes sense. It was our first night in Japan. The room and bed was very small. But it was nice and clean. It is a standard business hotel, like you find everywhere. The restaurant was very nice. It was close to Asakusa Station. The temple and market is in 10 min walking distance. Good train connection to explore the city. The area can be a bit quiet in the evening.

This modern version of a ryokan is a great mix of new and traditional design. The four women staff we met were delightful, spoke English, helped with directions etc (thanks, Yuka). Compared to other Five star hotels in Tokyo that I have stayed in, Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo is the best so far. It has a wonderful and convenient location, a luxurious and comfortable room. The service levels were the best, every staff catered to my every problem, they even accompanied me to the train station to help me out.
I would recommend this hotel to any traveler visiting Tokyo!
