The Ryokan was situated on a quiet side road minutes from Kyoto station. A minute away was a nice breakfast place and in and around the station there were numerous eating places for dinner. My sister and I stay for 8 nights and we loved the place. The staff is extremely helpful and nice (even if they have problems communicating in English), the fact that there is a common place with fridge and that you get tea and water for free and even croissants for breakfast, the cleanliness the rooms and how central the location is. We highly recommend this place for people who want to explore Kyoto and surroundings for a few days.
