Very warm atmosphere in this traditional Japanese house, very lovely public space with the heating bed table, toilets are nice and clean, you can use warm water at any time, the owner is a young lady with nice communicative English. - Very nice guesthouse and the owner was very nice, polite and helpful. - It was very clean - The old japanede house is beautiful and the interior (kitchen, showers,..) were new.

Still...the toilet and shower room outside results in inconvenience, and the room for two people is really narrow, actually. - small rooms - futons and pillows were a bit uncomfortable. If you are upstairs and tall like me its a bit of an obstacle path to the bathroom in the middle of the night (which is downstairs and out the back). The room we stayed in was a bit small. None that I can think of really. A bit far from the major destinations, but nearby a JR station so that wasn't a problem. Also they give you bikes to use for the day if you like. It's a bit far from the train station. Can't think of anyhing we didn't like. Maybe they should do some bike maintenance. far away from subway. Poor soundproofing. Location. It needs to have wc also on the 2nd floor otherwise it is inconvenient to tarject during the night and wake up the asleep guests. not easy to find the first time- need to take 46/206 bus from Kyoto Station and get off at 千本丸太町. Our room was located between the kitchen and another bedroom. It wasn t separated by real walls so there wasn t any privacy and it was noisy.
