Convenient location right in front of Kyoto station. Love the coin operated laundry, made life easier without the headache of looking for outside laundry and is very cheap. Staffs are very helpful and friendly, helped to arrange for local activity and takuhaibin, and can communicate in English. Room is small as per usual Japan standard, but comfortable enough (after all, all you need for the night is comfy place to rest and clean yourself).
all reviews » I stayed there twice on my last trip to Japan - the first 5 days and the last one. I was very pleased with the hotel - it is actually a smaller version of a larger 4 star hotel with most of the amenities. I enjoyed the fresh and reasonable Japanese style breakfast very much. When in Kyoto, love to stay near the station and this is right across the street from it. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Absolutely amazing staff; they helped us when we got into a bind (my partner lost his wallet, but we got it back!) the rooms were immaculate, facilities were wonderful; and it was across the road from Kyoto Station but didn't hear any ambient noise from outside. 1.Location , in front of rail station , easy connection to other rails .2.for those who love shopping , many malls in the area .2.toji castle - 15 minutes walking distance .Take the sagano jr line , must visit Hoji Castle n bamboo walk. The location of the hotel is amazing! It's right across from the train station, the Kintetsu train side, near the JR Shinkansen entrance. I booked a small double room and the size of the bedroom is decent for single use. 2 computers at clients disposal in the lobby+ wi-fi, proximity of Kyoto station, of the subway and the bus terminal, hotel is clean and calm. The Wi-Fi was patchy and tended to drop out a lot. 1.No complimentary coffee . 2.Standard double room slightly expensive at yen13,000 / rm450.00 ( but ok la ....for the area). Very, very small rooms Cost of breakfast. English was poorly spoken. The staff knew a few "key" words but you had the feeling that if you needed asking something more complicated they wouldn't understand you. I had a few questions I needed an answer to but I gave it up. Breakfast was not included and hotel staff did not inform us of this when walking into the breakfast room. Instead they charged us silently 1200 Yen... room a little small but it was perfect for two adults and a small child. Lack of wardrobe space in room. The check in/out times are not very friendly. The check out time is 10:00 am and the check in is 3:00 pm. Unfortunately I'd booked a non smoking room and got a smoking room so that was slightly unpleasant. Internet connection is available. For only at the lobby area. Very small room, got used to it as we stayed 13 nights. Quite small. Pricy?. Basic confort. Only one tea bag per person provided, no sugar. Water to be picked up at reception. Had two ask for the due towels at two occacions. At arrival letsbookhotel.com print-out was looked and giggled at for a few minutes before check-in could start. Small double not for claustrophobics. Rooms are too small. Environment looks like a business hotel.
