Both Mr and Mrs Maruyama treating us like family, we feel like we have a mother looking after us in Hakuba. Definitely will stay at Hakuba ski kan - Great hospitality, delicious breakfasts,relaxing onsen, good location within walking distance of the lifts, bus and local eateries. our host Mrs Matsuyama spoke good English, was extremely helpful and made us feel very much at home (or better)

  Location was excellent both for mountain access and also for easy stroll to restaurants and bars. Staff were locals and helped as much as we needed. Great inside/outside Onsen within the hotel, and the included Japanese and Western breakfasts were buffet style and had a good range to choose from.
