This train also connects you to Naples and the archaeological site of Pompei, and a free transfer service to the centre of Vico Equense and its train station is available on request. Guests of Le Axidie have free access to the free private beach, plus use of a sea-water pool, tennis court, and football pitch. You can really treat yourself in the beauty centre, which includes a sauna and hot tub, and offers a range of beauty treatments. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor dining areas and serves a delicious mix of local and international cuisine. Each guest room and apartment is air conditioned and most have a beautiful sea view. Boat transfers to Capri are located at the harbour next to the hotel.

Great location - on the cliffs above the Vico Equense bay, extremely friendly and helpful staff and great value for money. Specifically , we had a very nice 3 rooms apartment in the midlle of a vineyard with a great view to Napoli bay and we enjoyed every minute of our 4 days stay there. Superb location and views from the appartment looking directly across the bay to Vesuvius. Staff helpful and friendly.The appartment was clean, well equipped and very comfortable and above all incredible value for money. There was absolutely nothing which could have been improved.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful. The location of the hotel was great - in a quiet fishing village overlooking the Bay of Naples. A fantastic range of facilities which was very suitable for families. Extremely helpful staff. We stayed in The Red House. Fantastic views. April was a great time to visit as it was not crowded. We made use of the Circumvesuviana and SITA bus services to experience the historic sites and the wonderful scenery. We enjoyed the walk up from the hotel to Vico Equense despite the 221 steps. The hotel were more than willing to drive us in the courtesy car. Beautiful setting, several good restaurants and bars close by, free minibus to local town and station so no need for car. The staff were great and moved us to a much better room without us having to ask. The hotel is right at the beach and use of the private beach is included in the room rate. It is not in the center of Vico Equense, but that is not a very interesting center anyway.I liked the idea of being self catering and being tucked away but had the facilities of the hotel. It was right on the waters edge, although plus and minus to that, i.e. could be noisy from people on the beach during the day, but lovely to have the sound of the waves and scenery spectacular from bedroom window. the closeness to the seaside, the view, the atmosphere, strategic position for trips to Pompei and the rest of the coast (by car) and conveniently positioned close to one of the top fish restaurants in Italy, La torre del Saraceno, pricy but unforgettable experience for gourmet food lovers.The location of the hotel is great - we had the most amazing view of Mount Vesuvius from our veranda and having a private beach is an enormous bonus in Italy. The Reception staff were the best thing about the hotel. Also thecomplimentary taxi service up and down to the town.Going Home. distance to train station. We had booked an apartment for 4 adults. On arrival we were driven through a lemon grove to a remote cottage. The main bedroom was lovely, however the second bedroom had bunk beds in a room 2m by 2m! Obviously not suitable for adults. The hotel agreed to give us 2 rooms in the main hotel (including breakfast) for little more than the cost of the apartment. So it all worked out in the end!. Apartment could have been aired a little before arrival.We were self catering. The only fault we could find was that there was insufficient kitchen equipment and no corkscrew!!!!!. Noisy events in rooftop restaurant several nights during our stay. Unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of building work going on which was very noisy and dirty. It was very difficult to find this hotel.Lack of an information pack in the villa. Villa was right next to public beach which was noisy on sunny days. Lovely when everyone had gone home!. Our apartment wasn't cleaned the entire time we were there. If I went back I would try to go before October as not all of the hotel facilities were open.The hotel is not a four star it is max a one star. The hotel has notbeen maintained at all so everywhere looks very run down. The roomsalthough clean were very poorly decorated. The breakfast terrace hadlovely views but needs to be pulled down and re-built as some parts ofthe terrace actually looked dangerous. The swimming pool was filthy,with rusty metal around the edges. Very poor state of repair and apartments in desperate need of refurbishment. Self catering apartment lacked even very basic equipment such as a kettle and wine glasses. Cooker constantly tripped the fuse and therefore unusable. Main bedroom doubled as lounge and not segregated from kitchen. Other room only had single beds despite being booked for 2 couples. No resembalance to brochure pictures.
