Our airconditioning was not working well and it was extremely hot in Venice, the manager put us in a very expensive room for the last night of our 3 night stay. They were very kind and attentive to us. The breakfast each morning was delicious and had hot and cold foods, as well as fresh fruit. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it was walking distance from the train station. The hotel was gorgeous and in an ideal location, about a 2 minute walk from the train station. Our room (#122) was gorgeous - we had a balcony right on the grand canal and only paid 210 Euros a night! It was the perfect place to spend our anniversary. We highly recommend the Principe.

Multiple mentions of "free" Murano glass tour. Beware of the free Murano Glass Tour. If you do not buy anything youhave to use Public transportation to return to Venice.Noise because we were on the Grand Canel. The only thing we didn't like were the pillows, they were very hard and flat even after we tried using 2 pillows it didn't help. And the hairdryer is horrible! Bring your own pillow and hairdryer. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and it provides a very nice selection, however we went to the hotel restuarant for dinner one night and it wasn't good and it's very pricey so go elsewhere for dinner. A better view, inplace of looking out over the street but as we wereonly there for the one night this was not a problem. No. I wish it had more "wall socket"!! It was unbelievable it had only onewall socket in such a spacious room. Nice bar but abit expensive! Would have been nice to have tea/coffeemaking facilities in bedroom but not essential!. Could not connect computer on your internet network. Carpet was worn through in the hallway and detracted from the overall experience a tad.Not being able to stay longer!. Other rooms were quite small.Some parts are a little dated. Watch out for the free trip to Murano. You get a free water-taxi ridebut have to endure a guided tour of a glassware factory where inevitablyyou are encouraged to purchase something - and prices are sky high! Thehotel staff might wish to make this a little clearer.Our room overlooked the street which was very busy on a saturday night and it was very noisy at night, all night. Probably why it is cheaper than canal facing rooms. Would choose a canal room next time. One mixed drink at the bar cost me EURO 10.30. Too expensive.room was small-too small for a double bed- room water charged at 3 -4 times the shop rate which is excessive. They are trained to speak always same words to every client. They were very kind while we arrived but even didn't greet when we was checking out. Internet didn't work, I called reception immediately and he replied that he couldn't do anything because it was telecom company's business and promised that won't have charge us internet fee. But when we were checking out another receiptionist ignored it, charged with our credit card and talking with others. The service attitude is inadequate!. O not like the atitude of the stuff. They all hate to work...and I hatedthat the room was very dark. No sun, no light, dark like in hell.the allcity has nothing to do with a romantic atmosphere but it is like a warcamp. An it is not my firs time in Venice. Four years ago it was better.

From Venice Airport – 13 km:
From the wharf in front of the airport terminal take a water taxi which will bring you right to our hotel.

Or take an Alilaguna orange line motorboat and exit at the Guglie stop. Continue on foot.

By Train:
From Venice's Santa Lucia train station walk straight along Rio terà lista di Spagna and take the first calle on the right.

By Car:
Once you reach Piazzale Roma, continue on foot or by water taxi which will bring you right to Hotel Principe.
