Location right near St Marcos Square!!! Clean!!! Very Venice!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again if I ever get back to Venice. Excellent location, very easy to find. Room rate for 2 nights was very good but doubled for an extra night (not so good) As prices in Venice are higher than anywhere else we went in Italy I guess that is to be expected. It was central, and relatively easy to find, San Marco in Venice being quite medieval and without streets that make much sense. The location was excellent, and made a great base for exploring Venice. The staff were very helpful and glad to advise us. excellent location, great staff, quiet and comfortable.The location. large room. We could hear the guy in the room above snoring. You have to close the windows to keep sound out. Breakfast choice a bit poor. No lift.No lift. not a hotel more like a guest house. Stinginess. Charging for internet use, second coffee at breakfast, etc. Poor breakfast; noisy; rooms on 2nd floor are almost inside b/fast area so you don't need wake up service if you are staying there. Hotel staff could have been more friendly and offered to help with heavy bags up the stairs? Room quite small but comfortable. This is the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed at so be warned, especiallyif you are on the 2nd flloor. It has an open plan staircase with marblefloors. I could hear every step of guests coming in late at night. Alsothe phone ringing in reception, guests talking, toilets flushing etc.The breakfast room was also right next to us so from very 7.00am had allthis noise too. I would not stay here again under any circumstances.not friendly staff,.

By Plane:

From Marco Polo International Airport (12 km by car and 10 Km by motorboat):
- Take the ACTV or ATVO bus for Piazzale Roma. ACTV tickets cost approximately EUR 1 and are valid on all navigation lines for sixty minutes from the validation time. ATVO tickets cost approximately EUR 3.00 - 5.50 and are valid for one single journey.

- Alternatively, take a taxi for approximately EUR 20 or a water-taxi for approximately EUR 70.

Or take a motorboat to Venice Alilaguna:
- There is a direct passenger waterbus service between Venice and its airport. Tickets cost EUR 11 and can be bought directly on board without any supplement.

- When you arrive at Piazzale Roma you can take the motorboat.

By Train:
From Venezia S. Lucia station in Cannaregio:

- The number 1, 51, 52 or the 82 ACTV (Venetian public transport company) runs every 10-12 minutes. Tickets cost approximately EUR 5
- Get off at S. Marco station or at S. Zaccaria station.

Alternatively, take a private water-taxi for approximately EUR 70.

By Car:
Guests arriving by car can park in Piazzale Roma. A 10% discount is offered to guests who park in Garage San Marco.
