The room was cozy, the stuff was friendly, the breakfast was good. Not expecting too much from a 2star hotel we received good service, comfort and all the facilities in the room. Strange, that the reviewers complain about the size of the bathroom - it's standard, with a a shower cabin (rather spacious!). Quiet hotel on a nice street. It's not very close to the main square for those who do not enjoy a long walk. But for me it was perfect. There is also a great caffee close by (turn left from hotel after the first bridge) where you can enjoy a cappuccino and some pastries for cheap.all reviews »
It is extremely close to Piazzale Roma, the access point for Venice by train, air, or bus. The staff are extremely friendly, and the rooms are always clean and well arranged. The front desk, especially Max, was extremely helpful with directions, transportation, etc. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. I looked forward to it every morning.Relaxed atmosphere - easy access to Venice and to the student quarter.Lovely room and service. easy to find from the Piazale Roma. All but one of the staff were pleasant and helpful, especially breakfast hostess who was delightful. Room and bathroom although small were very clean, functional and comfortable. Breakfast delicious and enough to satisfy. Great location of hotel - far enough from Piazzale Roma not to be noisy and about 15 minutes pleasant walk to Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco.Good location - halfway between Piazzale Roma (Ferrovia) and San Toma on Grand Canal. There is supposed to be a terrace where you can have breakfast, but we didn't see that. I got to the hotel from Ple Roma according to the instraction of the hotel very easily but I am not sure if I got to this same hotel according to the instraction for the visitors comming by the train. Looks like a good location but actually a bit far from everything.night porter a bit sullen. Besides the rather small room the only thing that we did not like about this hotel was that when having a shower, the shower area was very small and the shower water did not drain straight away but flooded the room and we had to throw a large towel on the floor so that the floor would get dry. We thought that this was not very pleasant - and on this score only we would not recommend the hotel.rather poor breakfast. King size bed in small room, tiny bathroom - small shower curtain over toilet area!. One reception staff member a bit unfriendly/abrupt but others nice. The twin room was very small -- with an even smaller bathroom. Room did not have a shower but a curtain instaed. We was not told of this at the time of booking or arrivel. breakfast is too poor and small room. The hotel gave a new definition of small. The shower was mouse-sized and it was hard to get our luggage into the hotel room.

Arriving From Venice Airport "Marco Polo":
Upon landing at Marco Polo Airport you will find a coach service provided by the A.T.V.O. and A.C.T.V. companies, that will bring you to Piazzale Roma in about 20 minutes for the price of 2.58 euros for Atvo - blue coach, equipped with a facility for luggage transport, seats for all passengers - and 0.77 euros for Actv - orange coach without luggage transport facility and with either seats or standing room. Once in Piazzale Roma, walk in the direction of Giardini Papadopoli, cross the bridge in front of Sofitel Hotel and turn right. Follow the Canal straight to the end of the road (Fondamenta dei Tolentini) and turn left into Fondamenta Minotto. Go straight ahead and you will find the hotel on your left. Time estimated to reach the hotel: 20 minutes by coach to reach Venice + 7 minutes by foot from Piazzale Roma.
Alternatively you can take a private water taxi at the Airport that will bring you in front of Hotel Falier for an average price of 76-81 euros (price for maximum 2 people luggage included). We suggest always to ask for a price before you get on board.
Arriving by car:
We suggest parking your car in one of the Piazzale Roma garages. The most important are Comunale garage, and San Marco garage that charge respectively 18.59 and 24.27 euros per 20 hours. Comunale Garage provides a service for making a parking reservation with no extra charge at website, while San Marco Garage offers a 10% discount for Hotel Falier customers (just remember to ask for coupon at the hotel reception before you leave). Cross the bridge, then turn to the right and walk straight ahead keeping Canal Grande on your right . At the end of the road (Fondamenta San Simeone Piccolo) turn left. Now you are in Fondamenta dei Tolentini. To reach Hotel Falier you have to go straight ahead while keeping the canal on your right side, crossing in front of Campo dei Tolentini and turning left into Fondamenta Minotto. Time estimated: 10 minutes by foot.
