As other have said before me, location, location, location. The hotel is 3 minutes away from San Marco. Lorenzo, which I think is the owner, was very nice, confirmed our reservation by email almost instantly, gave us instructions on how to get there from the airport. The lady at the reception was very nice as well, they allowed an early check-in. On the last day we were supposed to leave at around 4am to catch our flight, we just left the key in the room, there were no problems whatsoever. Lar.

The location is superb- 5min from San Marco. It is easy to find and clean. Very good accommodation right in the centre of Venice. close to water bus stop. Staff were very helpful and emailed us before hand to give clear direction. Great air conditioning and large room with great facilities. Lorenzo the owner was extremely helpful. He spoke great English and was wonderful. The location was perfect and the room was comfortable and spotless and an excellent value. Location location location. 2 minutes to st marks square 2 minutes To a bus stop. Hotel is lovely, great shower comfortable bed. Big spacious rooms. Location was amazing. Big room. It was quite expensive, but, on the other hand, all Venice hotels are expensive. City tax was added to our cost when we got there. for 3 nights it worked out £15 extra for 2 people. Nothing to do with hotel. But venice is very expensive. But worth it. It's a great place. We stayed in the room directly above reception. It can get quite noisy in the mornings with passing people. No fault of the hotel. We had no complaints. Our desires were simple....a clean comfortable bed, a hot shower with fresh towels, and a quiet space. We found all that at Ca' Del Dose. A/C didn't work. Might have been we just couldn't figure it out. In the night was cold. There is a problem with condition may be. Arriving 2 hours early and not being able to get in touch with anyone to get in or leave our bags. Expensive internet. very expensive, no one in the reception, no wifi. It is very central to the Biennale. They are relaxed about giving you a key and locking up baggage after checking out. Very nice room. Two single beds dont make a double. Ma la camera è molto piccolo,anche primo vorrei due letti da single,ma due letti sono insieme. bad cleaning of numbers.
