The location was central to everything. By European standards, breakfast was good. The location was perfect the staff very helpful. Staff was very helpful - even in the breakfast room, the room was cleaned every day, the desk clerk had lot of information about surroundings, about transportation schedule to airport. Location of hotel -excelent. Next time in Venice, I would choose Antico Panada again.

Highly recommended...Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They saw on my passport that it was my birthday, and sent up a bottle of champagne to our room that evening. The location was outstanding, right near St. Marks, but far enough away to avoid a lot of the tourist noise. The room was VERY large (almost a Jr. Suite), with a sitting area and separate bedroom. Proximity to St. Marks.Excellent location of Hotel ... Staff extremely friendly. Had an excellent stay - a little supprized that hotel room was 2 blocks away from reception .. but that gave you the feeling of a little apartment! Also, the building itself seems a bit rundown, as the hotel is spread across a couple of different old buildings that don't mesh together well, and there are make-shift ramps and stairs to connect them. Not a big deal though, unless you're looking for luxury. Disappointing breakfast. It was more suitable to a hostel, rather than a 3-star hotel.This is not so much a comment on the hotel facilities, but if you choose to go with their complimentary visit to the Murano factories, please be careful of their prices. According to a shopkeeper, some factories will hike up their prices so they give a 50% discount. But the hotel says it is because goods outside are made in China (Glass gondola is 5E outside, 25E in factory). So keep an eye out. The grease smell coming from the mcdonalds directly next to the hotel. The bed was very hard and the jacuzzi bath did not work. noise of the bells of st marc square. The breakfast was very poor. Access to room was a joke. 2 lifts to go up 3 floors, with a long walk up and down stairs to get from one lift to another.No Bar in operation it was closed and not a grat selection for breakfastcould have supplied some more water in the room but overall we had afantastic stay. Internet is not free, the bathroom was very small.

How to reach us -

From the Santa Lucia railway station and Piazzale Roma:
By Vaporetto (public transportation) Line 82, on the Canal Grande towards San Marco. Travel time is about 35 minutes to the Calle Vallaresso stop. From the pier, proceed along Calle Vallaresso and enter Piazza San Marco (on your right) from Ala Napoleonica. Cross the piazza, heading towards the Clock Tower (to the left of the Basilica of San Marco). After passing below the tower, proceed along the calle and take the first turn to the right, Calle Larga S. Marco. Continue straight and turn left into the second calle, Calle degli Specchieri. After a few meters, you will find the Hotel Panada on your left.

By private water taxi to Campo della Guerra. From the landing, proceed straight to the Church of San Zulian and then turn into Calle degli Specchieri. Proceed straight. After 200 metres, you will find the Hotel Panada on your right. We recommend that you agree on the price before embarking and making sure that the taxi is authorised (recognisable by the yellow band on the sides and the concession number affixed there).

From Tronchetto (Car Terminal):
Line 82, on the Canal Grande, towards San Marco. Travel time is about 45 minutes. Get off at Calle Vallaresso stop. From the pier, proceed along Calle Vallaresso and enter Piazza San Marco (on your right) from Ala Napoleonica. Cross the piazza towards the Clock Tower (to the left of the Basilica of San Marco). After passing below the tower, proceed along the calle and take the first turn to the right, Calle Larga S. Marco. Continue straight and turn left into the second calle, Calle degli Specchieri. After a few metres, you will find the Hotel Panada on your left.
