all reviews » ease of access to st marks square. Good value. The room is comfortable, clean and quiet. The Hotel is also well placed in the middle of major attractions, shops and restaurants. With additional free WiFi available for the hotel guest. I will return and stay here again next time. Even no lift available, but there is always staff ready to help you to bring your luggage.The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly. It was also very well decorated and spotless. Note: You get 10% discount at the restaurant underneath if you mention you are staying at the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, very clean, fantastic service, very close to all main attractions, staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, breakfast was lovely. Difficult to find first time, lots of stairs (no lift).I can't recall if you mentioned it in the website originally however there is no lift, and no one offered to help with taking my luggage up to the fourth floor bearing in mind the reception is on the first floor. So that is five flights in total - after having carried my luggage all the way from the taxi point. Having said that, for the money they charged for my room, this is a minor gripe. I would definately reccommend this hotel. Of course it was difficult climbing 3 floors with our luggage because there is no elevator, but we knew this in advance. It was easier upon leaving going down the stairs. Also, paying extra for the room with "canal view" was not necessary, as you had to stick your head out of the open window and look down to see the canal. Next time, I will just opt for the regular double.There is no lift and the reception is on the first floor. You need to be prepared to carry your luggage up to the rooms which are situated on the second, third and fourth floors. There are no elevator. You need detailed map to find hotel.Had trouble using wireless internet and the staff I spoke to did not know how to help fix it. There is no lift, but we knew that beforehand from the reviews which were really helpful. Porters were always available to help with luggage - leave it on the ground floor when you arrive and it's taken up to the room. You do need to be able to manage stairs.Disappointing that when we arrived the sun terrace that was pictured ontheir website was not available due to repair work (it looksdelightful). The room was a little small and so there was not very muchspace for storage - very little drawer space hence had to keep clothesin suitcase. It was hard to climb to the 5. floor, but I think that it has to be accepted in Venice.Very expensive one international call to Colombia. Rooms are a little small. There isn't elevator. Staff at front desk not overly welcoming however carried bags up 3 flights of stairs.But like all hotels in Venice and places where space is at a premium, the room was small. Not much more than twice the surface area of the bed. This makes for irritation in moving round the room and a shortage of drawers for contents of the luggage. Apart from that all was OK. room is the smallest one I have ever lived in Italy, if you are tall more than 180cm, the single bed is NOT long enough for you. there is NO lift, so if you have BIG luggage, you can image...Price / performance ratio. The bed was awfull, bathroom was very small. The room was cold.
