We chose the Lido for our Venice trip as we wanted a place that was a little bit reomved from the hustle and bustle of Venice city. It is only a short ferry ride away from Venice itself so is actually perfect for someone who wants to visit Venice but wants to stay away from the crowds. The Villa Gabriella was a comfortable place to stay and was walking distance from the main shopping strip. It is located right next to the beach and the children loved that.

It was a very comfotable hotel and very near to the bus and vaporetto to Venice. The stuff was very polite and the room really splendid with a marvellous view to the lagouna. Very good location, only 20 minutes away with the vaporetto(waterbus) from the San Marco Piaza.Eaven at night a vaporetto is avaible. So you dont have the bustle of downtown. On Lido you also have a nice beach. Hotel isn't super but good enough. -
