After a busy day of crowded sightseeing in Venice, it was wonderful to retreat to a quiet, nicely-appointed, comfortable room in a community where families actually live. We enjoyed strolling the streets at night sampling the local restaurants. The dock for the Vaporettos is an easy walking distance, and the ride into Venice is convenient- only four stops from St. Mark's. We would definitely return on future trips.
all reviews » Really nice place....verry close to the Lido SME, where you can take boat to the main Venice. No. 5.1 and 1 goes straight to S. marco. from Lido SME you can take bus A, B..... and first second stop is this few steps away from the location. Room was clean-Big and cosy. the host are very friendly and co-operative. They treated us like family guests. A very nice B & B for a couple of nights' stay with lovely surroundings and close to the beach and the water taxis with easy access to the surrounding areas and Venice itself. Comfortable and reasonable. though this hostel is not in the center of Venice but on Lido island, we liked it even better. Close to the beach and 30 min on vaporetto to the center. We had a spacious room and an extrabig king size bed. Situated perfectly for our needs. One night to partake in LaSensa. The island of Lido was has spectacular views of Venice. The B&B 500 is hosted by the lovely Micheala who sees to your every need. The location. The area being a little away from Venice proper was very calm and quiet, at the same time easily accessible. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The cleanliness, the area, air conditioning and the breakfast. everything. Quietly. Clean, spacious, beautiful room. Very beautiful and quiet house. . This is not a typical hotel...it is a pension, which means that it is a home that was turned into a guesthouse, and there are no "facilities" to speak of, just a room with a bed and private bathroom. nothing really.... There was no wi-fi, we survived. In the first instance, this is not a hotel but a BnB. There is only one Lady managing the place. Her English communication skills were rather bad. She was also somewhat inflexible to guest needs. The kitchen and its facilities like the refregirator was off limits. People going here should be clear that it is not a hotel. Breakfast is monotonous. Breakfast offered was poor.Nothing to be noted. mosquito , mosquito , mosquito. The location was very far off of the typical tourist trail, and you must take a land taxi to and from the vaporetto on The Lido once you land, therefore adding unnecessary cost to your trip; the place is in a thoroughly residential neighborhood, with no restaurants, bars or any other diversion nearby; once there, you are "stuck", unless you want to call another taxi. Find a hotel closer to Venice proper, unless you have a car.
