Fantastic place to stay in beautiful city of Urbino ! Very nice and quiet traditional hotel, located in the heart of the old city, comfortable and -what's important - with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean, with comfortable bed. I have a very good time there, including talks with Paolo, who is creating a very nice atmosphere in the hotel and can recommend horel Raffaello to everybody.
all reviews » Hotel Raffaello has medieval charm, wonderful views, and location, location, location. Owner Julio is helpful, knowledgeable, caring. Breakfast included offers great start to the day. Close to restaurants, shopping, Ducale Palace, culture...did I say location?. Excellent central position although you need nerves of steel to park the car for unloading and then reverse back down the alley. Our room was large with loads of storage space and a view over the town. I like very much my contact with the owners of this hotel - they were very friendly and help me to improve my knowledge of Italy. Location is good. Friendliness of the staff especially Giulio. Good breakfast. Wonderful location and, from the top floor, beautiful romantic views. Location is excellent! Guilio and Paulo were very accommodating! Served a great continental breakfast!. Clean, professional and very helpful staff. The hotel is located in the city center of Urbino on a calm street. I can not think of anything particulary good or bad about the hotel. Just an ok option to crash there for a night. If you would like to stay right in Urbino, the location is fabulous. Very useful the manager gave us very good advices. The view from the window. The same family has run this hotel for 40 years and it needs a refurbishment. It's perfectly functional but is getting dated. Shower water pressure not good and water not hot enough. The bed pillows were very hard. I enjoyed everything they had to offer!. If you plan on coming with heavy luggage, going up the main street (Via Mazzini) will be tough. The hotel was clean, but the beds were poor and old, and the pillows were virtually flat. The hotel decor and furnishings were dorm-quality and run down. I would rate this a 2-star and not a 3-star. The fact that the hotel is located at the top of a steep hill paved with bricks which become dangerous when wet. Breakfast was barely adequate and the bread stale. The room was OK but certainly not worth the price they charge.
