The hotel is a family run affair and we had a fantastic time there - wished we had stayed a bit longer. Amazing and genuine welcome from hard- working Dario, who was extremely hospitable and very informative about the area. The hotel is very well located near the pretty Mazzaro Bay with the beach just 2 min away by foot. Getting to the centre of Taormina is just a short ride in the cable car (6 euro for return ticket). We loved the garden with its lemon and olive trees. The hotel is a perfect b.
all reviews » The location is excellent, the hotel is situated 1mn walking from the beach and 2 mn walking from the Finuvia that takes you in 5mn to Taormina center. The staff are more than great, friendly and always available. The room includes a private bathroom and both are good sizes. One can enjoy his stay at this hotel relaxing with a beautiful garden and real Sicilian ambiance. The hotel is more beautiful than the photos on booking and i was surprised to see it is only 2 stars on booking, i consider i. (1)The hotel in reality looks much better than on a pictures, especially garden. (2)Very close to the beach so you can sweem and go back to relax at the garden & surfing internet. We really enjoined this as we dont like to stay at a beach with lot of people & get burned. (3)Very clean, quit, close to cable line so you can reach Taormina city centre in a few minutes. (4)Parking is on site.(5) Rich breakfast, especialy coffe (6) Extremely friendly personnel. A warm and friendly, welcoming family run hotel. Dario and his lovely assistants could not do enough to help us with our travel arrangements, making phone calls for us, printing off bus timetables etc and all with a lovely smile and a good sense of humour. Hotel is very easy to find when driving. Hotel surrounded by a gorgeous garden & perfectly located near the beach and next door to many restaurants. Lovely hotel with a beautiful garden to sit and relax. Very nice and comfortable room. Only 2 minutes walk (down rather steep stairs) to the lovely beach and excellent restaurant there. Parking provided - Dario takes care that all cars get in. He was also very helpful giving all information on what to do and what to visit (grazie, Dario). Excellent breakfast in the garden. The pictures on letsbookhotel.com does not really justify the great charm of this place and the amazing outdoors areaes. Incredibly nice staff, especially the manager who is on work almost 24/7! Our best stay in Sicily? : ). Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The gardens are beautiful and there is plenty of seating to enjoy them. The beach can be accessed easily via the steps down from the hotel. Accommodation was excellent and so was the breakfast. We will definitely stay at this hotel again if we return to Taormina. The location is very good. You can go for swimming in 10 minutes or to the beach almost directly in front of the hotel. For visiting taormina you can reach the cable car within 5 minutes. Garden and open areas are very nice. The fact that I had booked 3 nights and was able the cancel the last night without a penalty. The staff is very friendly. No refrigirator or at least ice making machine or cooler. Rooms behind reception can be a little noisy. A cleaning frenzy of upstairs bedrooms began at 7.45am and made a lot of noise on the floor (our ceiling) which went on for 30 mins. Our hot water tank was not switched on the day we arrived so no hot water for a shower. Only discovered this at 10.00pm. Nothing, everything was really very, very good. Everything was great!. Our room on the ground floor maybe was not the best room. There is no curtain. You have to let down the shutters and so the room is very dark. The room is rather tired looking, probably the same as thirty years ago. Some TLC would be appreciated. mattress ok but pillows not. No wi-fi in the rooms. Bit basic. The furniture needs maintenance and/or to be repaired. Isolation has to be improved since the area close to the see is very humid. Existing heating system is not enough to keep the room warm in cold season. Ramps are needed to access the rooms. Booked 3 rooms 4 months ago and were given the smallest rooms and charged twice the stated price. Shabby furniture, very little water pressure in the shower, lumpy pillows. No fridge, poor breakfast. The cleaness, we had our shower towels wet every day, they didn´t change it, also happened with the bed linen. The breakfast was very poor, they didn´t have eggs.. proteins options, same food every day. Also, they kept our passports for 2 days (we had to ask for them to give it back). No internet in the rooms. Never more!.
