the hotel was clean, modern and lovely. views from breakfast room were stunning. staff was friendly. breakfast was good - first day more variety than the second. everything was fresh from the cornetti to the cakes. location was good as by car just a 6 minute drive to the center. if by walk the cable-car was not even 2 minutes away by walk. parking was available. Wi-Fi was excellent. This was a great hotel for our family of 2 adults and girls aged 8 and 10. We had easy access to the beach in Mazzarro and the cable car is right outside the door. Breakfast included in the room is basic but a bonus and the staff are all wonderfully nice and welcoming. We will definitely return next year.
all reviews » The hotel located in a very good location ,just next to the cable way to the old city (3 euro ride) the beach beneath the hotel is 10 euro for a bunk we had a room with a view to the sea ,and it upgraded the room. Great location to the beach and the line up to Taormina. Also wonderful viev from hotel to the sea. Easy to find with car and helpful staff who parked our car just outside the hotel. Just perfect for us. I liked the room: modern, clean with a beautiful view to the bay. The stuff was very friendly , though not everyone speaks English. A big thanks to the man in charge during the morning shift!. location is excellent if you want to stay close to the beach, also you are 5 minutes away from the cable cart to go to Taormina city. They have their own parking, which is very convenient. Nice and clean facility. We had a room with a balcony that was very convenient. Nice breakfast and view on the ocean in breakfast room. The hotel was light, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok. To get into the city itself, there is a cable car about 3 mins walk from the hotel. Price 3 EUR. I liked the carefully staff. The hotel is relatively renewed inside. Delightful helpful staff - could not do enough to make our stay nice. The location. the only complaint is that the water for showering was a tad too cold. it was room temperature but it could have been a lot warmer for this time of the year. from the rest i super recommend. If I had to say anything it would be the noise of a nearby dog and that is truly no fault of the hotel!. The breakfast was ok ,not something speacial. The breakfast on the second day was not as rich as on the first day. There was no real espresso, for breakfast, just the one from a machine. Despite asking for a non-smoking room we were given one non-smoking and one smoking room. In fairness, we booked at 19:30 and arrived at 20:00. There was no evening restaruant service during my stay (Oct 2013) - there are local restaurants nearby, but of variable quality, and like everything in Taormina, more expensive than elsewhere. There are some lovely beaches in Sicily, but the one by this hotel is not one of them. It is shale rather than sand, and only a small part is public (free) - the rest is private (and expnesive). It's relatively far from Taormina downtown. Not less thant 15min by car. I like walking in Taormina. Thing it's right to walk there. But if your not focused in Taormina, it's near to the beach. Hard beds and rather aged showers. Breakfast could be better, there seems to be a heap of work left in the renovations of this hotel, also they only have limited information about the area.
