Just a 5-minute walk from Taormina's main square, Casa Cuseni is a historic B&B housed in a museum of fine arts declared a national monument. The building and its historic garden were designed by Frank Brangwyn, and are complete with 13 panoramic terraces, 7 fountains, and rare plants. Each room at Casa Cuseni Belle Arti B&B has a balcony with views of the Naxos Gulf and Mount Etna. They all come with air conditioning and Sicilian furniture of the 17th and 18th centuries. Some rooms have a private external bathroom, and an apartment is also available. Set in a listed villa, the interiors are decorated with works by Picasso, Henry Faulkner, and other masters of the 20th century. The list of famous guests includes philosopher Bertrand Russell, novelist Roald Dahl, and actress Greta Garbo. Sweet and savoury food can be enjoyed at breakfast, with gluten-free items available on request. This daily treat can be served in the breakfast room with views over Mount Etna or the Mediterranean Sea, or on the terrace when the weather is good.

all reviews » Everything. This is an incredibly beautiful house and the gardens are simply breathtaking. Our room, the Daphne Phelps, was huge with a lovely shared terrace. Breakfast is very good, you can have it outside, which is great. We could see Etna erupting (at a safe distance) from our room. One of the most unusual, fabulous places I have ever stayed in. The hosts, Mimma and Francesco, are exceptionally warm, friendly and attentive. Very close to the hiking trail to Castelmola, which is a must do. Al. The owners and staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming! We were just absolutely amazed at the beautiful casa! The room was spacious, clean, designed with eclectic antique furniture...and the view from the room was just beautiful! Overlooking the sea and Mount Etna, what more can you ask for! I would absolutely come back to stay at Casa Cuseni, looking forward to bringing the extended family for our next holiday (we were my wife, 4 month baby boy and myself). And you if you do visit.. be sure. This hotel is a hidden gem in Taormina. A historical mansion visited by many celebrity artists and authors at its days. All the rooms with great view of Mt. Etna and the ocean at the same time, esp. The one room on the top, that you have the whole top floor for yourself including a music room that you can play records and enjoy the view and the breeze. The breakfast is abundant, and their service is very personal. The owner helped us with our luggage when we check-in and even on the day we chec. This was our best hotel during our trip through whole sicily. The villa building was so exiting and Francesco and his lovely wife are so warm and wonderful hosts!! The villa is located in top Taormina location in a beautiful Italian garden. Breakfast was top the suite was very large including the terrace we could use only for us. Thanks to Francesco and his family to be there guests We will book again for next year....There are so many wonderful impressions I would like to write here but best . It was like stepping into a weekend with Cole Porter and Gertrude Lawrence. The hotel is an elegent, if rustic, villa of old money elegence. Francesco treated us as if we were personal guests of his. The room was huge with both a balcony and terrace, each with breath-taking views. The plentiful breakfast on the veranda was served with impeccable hospitality. Do the valet parking - worth the extra money. It couldn't have been a more welcoming and delightful time. We can't wait to retur. The hotel is wonderful. It was the most fabulous place to stay so unique filled with beautiful original art and sculptures that you would normally only see in a museum. Felt like you were transported back in time to 100 years ago as they've kept the house and garden exactly as it was when Robert Kitson lived there. Very very special very friendly staff and the breakfast was fantastic too. This place was amazing! The history and the gardens only added to the unique experience. Francisco, Salvatore, Mimma and staff couldn't do enough to help our stay more memorable. Breakfast on the terrace with the views of the bay and mt etna will stay with us forever. I would have no problem in recommending Casa Cuseni to anyone and hope one day to return. The views from the rooms and their balconies are about the best that Taormina has to offer. The historical interiors and decoration are lovely. The staff were really helpful and greeted us with a glass of prosecco. Breakfast was huge and very nice. This place seems like *the* spot to stay in for a night or two in Taormina. Franco is a wonderful host. First read about it on the internet and than book, cause then you know what you can and may expect. And the people who are managing Casa Cuseni are marvellous. The parkingsolution is adequate. Prachtige B&B op 5 minuten stappen van Taormina (wel hoogteverschil). Mooie tuin en ontbijt op prachtig terras met zicht op zee, de Etna en Taormina. Everything was perfect. The only very slight complaint is the bed was rather hard. Due to the age and originality of the building, bathrooms tend to be shared, but this turned out to be fine. The owners aren't onsite at night or later in the evening, so if you have any questions (like what's the Wifi password), make sure you sort them all out when you arrive. Everything was impeccable!. Minor detail: We did not find soap bars/shampoo in the room. Nothing. Toiletries missing - shower gel, shampoo. We had our owns so it was't a problem. The price policy is not very clear. I made a reservation 6 months in advance, I paid in advance and had no possiblity to change so expected a 'smart' price. It wasn'T... Accidentally I found out that the same room/periode was offered one month later for € 20,- less per night. Having to hold the shower head because it wasn't fixed on the wall. No tea making facilities. Nothing. The bed was a bit hard. Breakfast except one day there was fresh orange juice. nothing. Nothing. The beds were somewhat uncomfortable. Well, in the Casa you have to deal with 20e-century comfort, but don't complaint, because that was your own choice: You're not in the Casa for comfort, but for the Casa and its history itself. Onvriendelijke ontvangst. Very unfriendly welcome. The garage to unload luggage was full and we had to park in the middle of the road. The person who welcomed us said he could not help us and that we had to find a parking space ourselves (although we booked a parking space at ten euros per day).
