Agriturismo Villa Pane is a small, family-run farmhouse in the green hills surrounding Sorrento. It offers an outdoor pool and panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples and Capri Island. My daughter and I had an incredible, relaxing time at Villa Pane. Last year I stayed in a hotel in Sorrento but this was much much better. We had a large, clean room with terrace and an amazing view of the Bay but the best thing was the hospitality of the family and the staff. I can also really recommend dinner in the evening. For only 25 EU Anna Maria prepares a lovely 4-course meal with love and homemade pasta, freshly picked vegetables and herbs from the extensive family garden. We also took.
all reviews » Villa Pane felt like home! Gianluigi and Ana Maria were so welcoming. Their villa is beautiful surrounded by the hills of Sorrento with lemon, fig, olive, orange trees everywhere. The walk to town is stunning, although Gianluigi is always ready to shuttle guests to and from the villa. Another fabulous bonus is the food served! Breakfast included various pastries and jams made at Villa Pane. Ana Maria even made eggs for her North American guests!! Everything is made with fresh ingredients fro. Local restaurant is a few minutes drive away, good value and lovely food. Sorrento was busy in August but very nice. The town is a good base for daytrips to Capri, Amalfi and Pompei. This place is a friendly clean quiet place with a great view if you get one of the sea view terrace rooms. The terrace room we had did not have a view. There is a shuttle that the B&B has into Sorrento for the guests and to the parking area down below. The staff were very friendly and helpful (including Guido, the family golden retriever!). Fortunately, we weren't staying in the centre but in the hills overlooking the Bay. Nothing. Distance from Sorrento was fine for us but not good for people who want to walk to shops, town regularly on their own. The road leading to the B and B is very narrow and not very convenient to reach from. It is dangerous to drive on. You have to leave the car in the Piazza below and get a shuttle up which is arranged by the B & B. The road up to Villa Pane is very narrow. We hired a Fiat Panda, and still we struggled (whilst the locals didn't even slow down!) You can leave the car lower down the hill if you want to though. The frequency of the shuttle service, which was every 2-3 hours between 7am and 11pm The cost of a taxi into Sorrento 30-40 euros, which was only a 7 minute drive The hard bed, which is quite usual for Italy. Too far & expensive to get there from Naples. Location is inconvenient - even though shuttle provided. Pool is above ground average size - very deceiving in picture. Beds a little hard, and towels not up to much. Breakfast could be more rich. It kept raining!. Difficult to find .Make sure you have a phone so that the b&b can pick you up at the parking area about 300 meters from the gorgeous retreat .It is all up hill from the parking area!. Nothing. Food very expensive, access impossible unless you had a very small car. Staff had to collect/deliver us each time to/from local parking area, but very willing so not such a problem!. Nothing. The room looks much better in the pic on the website. Bring your own towels.

Please note that you need to drive down a small alley in order to reach the Villa by car. If your car is too large for the alley, you can park in the public square 300 metres away and call the Villa for the free shuttle bus.
