It felt like being at home in Italy. The room had a special warm feeling with the antique stylish furniture and the big window doors opening to the balcony with a view directly over Piazza Tasso. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Best possible location, in the heart of Sorrento. Would definitely stay there again. Location is fantastic, directly at the main square. We got the "basic" room, not very spacy but newly refurbished, nicely decorated and comfortable. Nice view from the room to the main square. Breakfast was good. Very few rooms, make it very quiet inside and good window insulation for noise from the streets.
all reviews » The B&B Piazza Tasso is located in the middle of Sorrento where everything happens. We got uppgrades to suite exelsior and room was fantastisk with a round bed and two balkonies. A big room and wery clean and beautiful. The breakfast was in the main hotel about 5 minutes. Nice!. The location was great for walking to everything Sorrento has to offer. The room was huge with a balcony overlooking the main square where all the action took place. Would definitely stay here again. The staff was great. We loved being central to all happenings at Piazza Tasso. The room has a lot of ants near the window, beside the bed and in front of the bathroom. There were three keys necessary and two of them were very difficult to use; One even broke. The room was facing the square which was nice however it was so noisy that the window had to be closed in order to sleep and keep the noise out. Have to take stairs to the room. Not convenient if you have large luggage. Outside stone staircase up to courtyard. No problem if you are fit but I struggled a bit. This is a kind of remodeled aprtment. The staffs are not around all the days. Breakfast was a bit far away and poor wifi reception. Better information for booking in. Check in was a bit messy as you have to checkin at a different location. What would be good is to put a sign at the gate of the B&B giving map and directions to the checkin location. toilet unusual, but clean. The toilet system is smelly. It has some sort of storage system right in the bathroom and it can be unpleasant. The check in is in another place which is a bit of a pain. It would be easier for them to meet you at the B&B, rather than walk past and come back again with all your luggage. Breakfast is also at the other property, not such a problem. breakfast served at the main hotel 5 minutes walking distance. The checking location was confusing. Rooms and Check-in Location are in different places. Very difficult to find the location of the check-in room (it's a backside alley). No WIFI in the room (although specified as part of description). A few room standards... the basic one is really poor and small.
