It is central and has beautiful view.Room is lovely.

Quite season so not many around hotel to have a late drink etc

It was centraly located but close to the sea with amazing views. The staff were very helpfull. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel and our bedroom were spotless. Would definatly reccomend to anyone.

No tea or coffee making facilities and a slightly grand but uninteresting menu for evening meals

The amazing view from the balcony, computer/internet access, pay-per view television, Jacuzzi, location of hotel, and over all elegant.

The tiling in the bedroom and corridor makes it a little cold and less elegant. The menu selection for room service could be improved. No hair conditioner provided, usually comes in tandem with shampoo.

Grand Hotel Royal was an absolute dream of a hotel. Beautiful views, superb location and helpful, courteous staff. Would highly recommend this hotel to any one thinking of visiting Sorrento.

Excellent location with close access to the town. Lovely views and lots of room inside and outside.Very nice lunches with seaview beside the pool.

Euro 20 per day for the car park. I did not know about this beforehand.

Hotel was spotless inside and out and the views at the back of the hotel are fantastic.Staff were pleasant and happy to help at making our stay relaxed and enjoyable.Also the hotel is central to all amenities.I would highly recommend this hotel.

The breakfast,although plenty,could have been a little more varied the cooked breakfast was a little cold due to the containers which it was kept in not being hot enough.Despite this we always came away with fat tummies and didnt need to eat until evening!!

The Grand Hotel Royal was very beautiful and the staff was wonderful. The girl behind the desk was always willing to answer our questions and was very cheerful. Our room had the most spectacular view and was lovely. The morning brunch was delicious and we were always greeted by cheerful staff.

For the price you pay....which was worth the view and service....it would have been nice to have a "real" king sized bed. Two twin beds pushed together is not the same. My husband is 6' 5" tall and his feet hung off the end of the bed. Other than that...the room was lovely. Very spacious and clean.

We liked the location, perfect for walking to the marina to catch a ferry and 100m from the square and train/bus station. Our view from our room was spectacular. Breakfast was great, really nice hotel.

Great view on the bay side apartments overlooking the sea. A short walk to the train/bus station. Sorrento itself is a 30 min train to pompeii and a much better base than Naples to get around the nice bits of the region.

Breakfast was average - but it was off season with few travellers staying, so they hotel may have been scaling it back.

beautiful grounds and view, attractive rooms, great location -- seaside and convenient, but removed from the throng in the center of town.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but language misunderstandings in making transportation arrangements led to some hitches on our plans. The dining room staff was somewhat brusk. The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. Some fabric floor covering (area rug or mats) would have been nice.
