  The Hotel Livingston is on the edge of the island of Ortigia. When you eat in the fourth-floor hotel dining room, the windows on three sides look largely over the Mediterranean, but also over old rooftops. It's easy to walk to anywhere in Ortigia from there. Or just to swim in the sea and sunbathe on the rocks. - We really loved the Hotel Livingston's neighborhood. Walking was a delight, there is a terrific gourmet Locanda nearby. Our room was large with two sets of French doors looking onto the street and to the sea and swimming rock! The bathroom was luxurious - loved the towel bathrobe and slippers. Breakfast was good with an extensive buffet.

  What a great hotel! The sea view from our room was spectacular! Hotel is really in the heart of it all. Staff was friendly and helpful. Some have commented on the lack of parking but the reality of the tiny island of Ortygia is that driving the narrow streets *barely* wide enough for 1 car is a challenge. If you must drive (we did!) there is cheap ... what people say » parking within 10 mins walk. Get a small car! - Great hotel, very elegant, classy, updated and decorated with excellent taste. Fantastic location, spacious room and a view from the 3rd floor up. There was so much choice... including homemade pastry from the owner's nonna. Delicious! I would definitely come back here.

  Such an amazing place! Wonderful hotel, beautiful pool and lounge-garden. Very nice modern design with still a lot of atmosphere. Huge breakfast with lots of savory and sweet dishes. Dinner menu is good (would only have liked a bit more choice for starters). Staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. Room (4 persons) was great, with a downstairs ar... what people say » ea with 2 single beds and an upstairs 'master bedroom'. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom has the best rain-shower ever. Highly recommended! - We had the most incredible time here. The location is great - close enough to the nearby beaches and towns to do day (and night) trips. The pool and surrounding area with orange trees, lounges and day beds is so peaceful and relaxing that we didn't want to leave. On top of this the staff are all so friendly and welcoming. A special mention must also go to the owner who really went out of her way to make our stay something to remember. We are already planning our next visit!!

  Location was fabulous in the center of Ortigia, the old town. Shops, sites and attractions were all very close by. Siracusa was such a lovely place and this was a great place to stay. I'm quite glad I chose to be in the historic center, rather than on the mainland. The apartment was very well equipped and included everything needed to be comfortab... what people say » le, to cook and even do laundry as it even had a washing machine. Denise was very helpful and accommodating, giving me a full orientation of the town - Denise was tremendously welcoming and full of really good suggestions for eating, snacking, things to do etc. The apartment for three was spacious and very clean with a very central location. Swimming platforms just round the corner also very welcome.
