This place was a surprising highlight of our trip. This small hotel occupies a commanding view of Santa Maria Navarrese, and along the large beach towards Arbatax, especially from rooms with balconies. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. We chose to dine at the hotel on each of our 2 nights, and the meals were first class, ample, and accompanied by bottled water, coffee and wine, all for 18 euros. We would particularly recommend the day-long boat trip up.
all reviews » Great location! From our room we had the most beautiful view of the entire gulf. Its definitely not just a hostel: we had a double room with private bathroom. Very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner. We had a fantastic holiday; really good value for money. In front of the hotel is a nice restaurant called "sa Cadrea" with a nice terrace facing the see, were we had delicious, typical local food and wine! Again: great value for money! A must for hikers: behind the restaurant a nice . A smashing stay. Room was very nice and tidy. Absolutely great service, very nice and helping. A great view on the sea and the beautiful village. You can have a very delicious meal at the ostello at a really reasonable price. The best stay I could ever have imagined. Amazing view though the rooms to the sea with small islands and city. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, staff are very friendly, good breakfast, free parking. Near hotel starts very nice hiking trail to Pedralonga. The balcony and the nice view, the location - just 10 min walk to the center... Spacious but very simple room, breakfast was ok. Good for motorbikers, parking. There is nothing at all that I did not like, everything was perfect. Internet was working only in reception and restaurant area. The owner lady is very friendly but does hardly speak english. Not working internet. No internet connection -- it does not work at all. We needed an internet connection to check arst timetables. Instead, the staff gave us a bus timetable which was not updated, so we remained stranded in Baunei after 9.20pm and had to pay 20 euros for a taxi back to Santa Maria Navarrese. This shabby place heavily needs disinfection and renovation - we and our children have been beaten by fleas!!! Total nightmare! After the first look we wanted to cancel our reservation, although due to penalties we were forced to stay there - this crappy hostel has pricing more than some 3* hotels in Sardinia! The worst experience from our travel (out of 6 places we've stayed). There is no access to the sea. Will never back.
