The hotel is about 6 to 7 stations from the city center. too far from the center and difficult to reach the hotel. Our initial room was very small but the staff was able to put us in alarger room the following day. The room was situated up on the 1st floor and the house keeping phone rang from 0700 in morning. Not for long but often. The distance away from the city centre mean you paid extra for travelling back to change to go out again. The price of tickets could be be added onto the daily bill so making the bargain price not so bargain. Agree that a strong walker could walk into centre.Reception staff were a bit complacent. There was a problem on our first night and we were sent to another hotel after a long day's travelling; it was supposed to be 4 star but was actually less good than the Waldorf. It seemed the Waldorf staff didn't check it out. That said, once we were in and settled we enjoyed it very much and would definitely go there again. It was not close to any of the sites at all. We figured out how to usethe Metro, but if you have only a few days in Rome stay somewhere closerto the city center.hotel was really good nothing to do at night very quite. Checkout limit at 10 am.a lot of construction going on. Water pressure in the morning not enough to take a shower!. Paper walls so we could hear the neighbours. Hotel was too far out - this was our fault, we thought your description read 10 mins from Spanish Steps - we had not read that it was 10 mins by underground. We would not have gone there otherwise.No chairs for the balcony. Our double bed was two twins pushed together. The location was farther from the city center than we thought it would be. For breakfast, the "below ground level" restarant was tolerable for heat, however, we did not venture here for an evening meal and the local pizzeria got all of our evening trade. Also - I requested a car parking slot which seemed to be ignored, however, there is adequate free on street parking outside the hotel on the quiet one way street. Yes I would not recommend anyone to go half-board and use the restaurant, you are not given any options which is tough if you are a vegetarian. You cannot have a salad and no vegetables come with the meal. The meal had so much salt, I had my full intake for a month on one chip. In plain it was disgusting and I wish we had not bothered and eaten out it would have been cheaper and edible!. Breakfast was ok but it should have more variation. The tv had anextremely lousy picture despite the fact that we requested the staff tofix it (they tried but failed miserably). The overall soundproofingbetween the rooms was rather poor. The most disappointing thing was thepresence of small insects in the bathroom. There was even one bigcockroach - something you really do not expect to find. They schould hace bacon to breakfast ;). Lift was tiny. On our second night, we found a cockroach in ourbathroom. Internet not working and one day only cold water.paper walls - incerdible noise from other rooms and corridor! ,no wifi in room, too high price for internet connection. Rooms very small. There was no sign board on the roof top or facing teh main road showingthe name of the hotel , which the guest was facing problems to ask fordirection from shoppers who has no ideas of the exisiting of your hotel. the beds were too soft. Our hotel room was far too small for 2 people. No space between the single beds, which should be the case for twin occupancy. Very small bath suitable only for a child. Not everyone is satisfied with a shower when they have been walking around rome all day! Hotelnot clean enough. The quarter was not good nothing around,was way to far from the city center.I asked for double room,and We had to sleep a night at the single room,in a very small bed.The rooms are extremely small. We upgraded to a superior room which was almost double the price of standard. The room was tiny with a very small window and was very dark. We complained we thought we were given the wrong room. We were shown to a slightly bigger room with bigger windows and more light. The room still wasn't superior but we didn't know if it was the best they had. Restaurant closed all week except for breakfast. No bar service until 5pm in the afternoon. Arrival receptionist surly and arrogant.Poor service from the website thought there may have been coffee or drinks served on the rooftop patio area. The staff were not helpful particularly as I was a mature lady travelling alone very limited information was provided on check in similarly with any subsequent enquiries I made. The breakfast was not great and things eg bread were not replenished. Hotel is difficult to find. Staff gave no warning of transport strike.Not as close to city as described, room smelt of smoke. I and my wife had to sleep in the floor as AC didn't work at night. Quite difficult to sleep there. Very poor arrangements, we even didn't get a glass of water when asked after 10. Bad breakfast, broken air conditioning ,unpleasant staff (hotel starsrate minus 3).
