My husband and I stayed here three nights during our visit to Rome. Irina was extremely friendly and helpful, our room was comfortable and clean, and we controlled our air conditioning (a huge plus after 12 hours of walking!). When you step out into the piazza, St. Peter's dome greets you. We ate croissants for breakfast and took an apple or banana with us for a mid-morning snack. Overall, a wonderful place to rest after traipsing over Rome.
all reviews » Wonderful place, felt like home, Irina is extremely friendly, I stayed alone for 4 nights, the location is excellent, a two minute walk from Saint Peter's Square and a three minute walk from San Pietro's Train Station. Breakfast is open all day so you can basically wake up whenever you want! Loved it. The location is perfect to be near the vatican and the city and at the same time out of the most turistic places. Near the B&B you can find some italian restaurants and take a walb by the river. The train station is just a few minutes away. Free coffee and drinks all day long, no staff to watch how much you take and how many coffees you make, also free croissants , bread and butter, milk all day long, conditions to prepare your own food unattended, it is like a home. The room is very comfortable like home. The breakfast is free! The food in refrigerator is also free. The location is very near to Vatican city and Vatican museum. The staff is very nice and can speak very good English. Location near Vatican, shops, bus route and station. Quiet area at night. Rest of sights easy access to them walking or bus. Ample breakfast food supplied. Location for restaurants and site seeing, do it yourself breakfast facilities and cleanliness. Irina was very helpfull. Would recommend. Irina...she was the do-it-all lone staff we met there; warm, friendly; always eager to help. She was outside the B&B waiting for us!. Everything abour San Peter was good - especially Iraina. who did everything she could to make our stay comfortable. The location was great close to tourist spots and central to both bus and train. Helpful English speaking staff. Friendly and accommodating staff. Reasonably priced. Walking distance to the Vatican City. Clean. Host was really helpful. Room was great value & clean. The location was great and everything was as stated. Just great for my wife & I. best value - price / quality. The only con we can see (and it wasn't really a con) is that it was a 15 minute walk to the metro. We carry heavy backpacks and the walk is through heavily touristed areas, so it was a chore navigating the masses. However, this wouldn't stop us from staying here again in the future. Nothing really there was only sometimes bad cell reception but I didn't mind as I had free WiFi access all the time!. it is half in the ground and not easy to notice from the street because there is no sign. The room is half underground but its clean and smells very good. 10% discount card given for local restaurant by proprietor. Didn't tell us it was for cash only and not on credit card. Rome crowded even this time of year. Found city generally not clean, poor facilities.(toilets). It was quite hard to locate; our taxi driver had to get down twice to ask & it so happened the 2 nd one she asked was Irina who was waiting for us outside! It was a pleasant surprise! I have to add, the rooms are like in a basement & have to navigate the stairs with your luggages but then again, there was Irina helping us!. Hard to find. We have to carry our luggages up and down the stairs. Elevator does not go to the ground floor. 20 minutes walk into centre of Rome. Like a lot of European operations - small area, but very manageable.
