The reason I chose this hotel was the fabulous location - when in Rome,I spend most of my time at the ancient monuments, and this place is right at the bottom of the via Cavour, literally a minute or two from the Roman and Imperial Fora. I had a deluxe room and it was lovely - faciltities were good, nice shower, tv, safe, fridge - all you would need. Everything was clean and though the style of decor would, for some, probably be a little out of date, I thought it was quite charming. Note though.
all reviews » Once we arrived the staff was prompt and happy to greet us. Though we didn't speak Italian they spoke enough English to communicate perfectly. The stay was great, we decided we needed to stay a second night without booking it and they ensured me it wasn't a problem offering me the same rate. Ana Paola and Luigi were extremely polite and helpful. The location is right dead in the heart of Ancient Rome, absolutely amazing for the price. Tons of restaurants and bars close as well. Great location, amazing staff. The breakfast was small but filling and the guy who runs the desk is amazing. Stay here, you won't regret it! The walk to the Coliseum is less than 3 minutes and 2 minutes to the Forum. You are on the side of the city but buses and subway is only a minute away. Staff very friendly and helpfull.is two blocks from the colosseum and a short fifteen minute walk to the spanish steps and trevi fountain. A bit noisy as its on a main street but definitely enjoyable to sit at a bar and watch the world go by. The staff were very good and friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. I would have liked breakfast to be available a bit earlier, maybe from 7. I am not one to sit and eat a long breakfast when travelling, but being able to grab something to take out as I left each morning, without having to wait until 8 or else go find my own, would have been nice. Beds were a little bit hard but the rooms were very well decorated and the bathrooms were clean and quite nice. Wifi access was limited to the second floor for us. All things to easily look past . Only problem was the beds were a little hard, but no big deal really!. Would have been nice if the elevator worked so we did not have to carry bags up 1 flight of stairs. It would be great if you could send the staff to learn a bit of english or spanish to make communication easier. But they are so helpful and kind that the language was not that big a deal. No elevator in the building makes it harder to carry luggage upstairs. A bit noisy as it is on a main street but well worth it for the people watching. the shower was configured so strangely and the hot water waned. Otherwise, great!. Was located next to breakfast-room, so was quite noisy in the mornings. Reception is not 24-7, and receptionist does not speak good english. room finish and furniture are a bit worn out. no door on bathroom/toilet. The shower leaked and the hairdryer wasn't very efficient. Staff not able to speak english but we managed. When made booking stated we wanted 2 twin beds but given a double and no twin bedded rooms available. There are no elevator and you have to limb 4 floors to reach the rooms. Only the italian phones can get wi-fi at the rooms, the foreing phones have wi-fi only at the reception. No ice machine as stated. Room very small No tea & coffee making facilities. Staff couldn't speak English. I'd prefer not industrial breakfast.
