I liked the fact that it was a four star hotel(sometimes hotel ratings don't reflect the reality).The location was excellent, no tourist around so we got to eat and drink with the locals.Also it was easy to move around,bus 105 was right in front of the hotel and would bring you everywhere.I Didn't use the Restaurant in the hotel so I can't comment on that. If you're coming from Ireland or uk and love drinking in the residential bar you can forget about it.Il Pignetto has everything to offer eve.
all reviews » We loved everything about this hotel. Although it is further out from city central, it is easy to take the bus. Don't listen to reviews saying it is in a bad area - we had no issues and even walked around at night (we were just two females). Yes there is graffiti but it is everywhere. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy, the staff was super friendly (be sure to get a map at reception - we didn't use anything else and left our bulky travel books in the room) and the rooms clean and modern. Very good staff who took immediate action on things that were wrong such as broken lamps and the smell of sewage. We had a junior suite. From the large terrace of it we had a good view of the people living on the other side of the small street and could have some conversation with them. Pineto street is lively and the restuarant called Primo there serves delicious dishes. Bus 81 which stops in front brings you everywhere in town. Parking under the hotel for 21 euro/day. The room was very clean but not so big. The bathroom was big and the jacuzzi was perfect!!!! You can go everywhere with the buses but you should pay attention to some bus stations cause sometimes the buses change their servises and you will wait aimlesly. The metro station ine 10-15 minutes on foot. You should choose to stay to this hotel. Its very very good choice. The jaccuzi tub and the quiet terrace were just what we needed after a long day. It's true that its a bit far from the nearest station of San giovanni. But 15 min walking in a quiet neighborhood was enjoyable. Plus there is a park for the children at mid way, where on our way back, our baby could have some fun. Staff are friendly and breakfast rich and various. Very nice and clean looking place it is fairly new and modern. Wi fi was awful we had hardly any reception and had to resign in every 5 min. Bus in front was a good connection to the city it was a bit far from rhe city. parking was safe underground with heaps of space. This hotel is a gem in rome, is really comfortable and spacious. Me and my parents love it. It might be a little far from city, but with the bus station near the hotel, u can take bus 81 to go most of the tourist attraction. Everything was fine, 350Euro for 5 nights with some very good breakfast, location was quite close to the city next to the bus stop. New fashioned rooms, very good quality for reasonable price. The location of the hotel is 10-15mins walk away from Metro. The immediate surrounding area could be described as scruffy and at first sight gives a negative impression. Area around is quite dirty and not very inviting. You are away from the sights. A hotel on the metro is better. 1 Service person in the restaurant is not enough, when more then 3 tables are full. Expencive car park. Cafe was not as good as in the rest of rome. Beware of the pocket pickers that travel with Bus81 from time to time... Very slow wifi. buses often overcrowded which makes transportation difficult with young children and pram. However very frequent bus routes. The area is a little far from the main attractions, but is worth the bus ride. no minus. Internet connectivity is very bad. The streets to get to the Hotel from the Subway were not secure to comeback at night... I have never see bad internet connection than this hotel. No payment services for the internet also. Don't try to walk from Termini. Too far. I didnt like the location, it´s quite far away to the main points of ROME. The room was very cold, even when there was 14 degree Celsius outside, because of the central system of air conditioning. after the trip we were both ill. :(. our jacuzzi in our bath didn't work. poor location; too far from the center. It is a little off the beaten track. Far away from city center and uncomfortable to transport. Did not have typical American fitted sheets ...just flat ones that were difficult to keep on the bed. The surrounding area did not look very clean but when I spoke to a young waitress she assured me the area was crime free and fine to walk around. There is a lot of graffiti in Rome and this area is full of it. You have to make a reservation to eat in the restaurant. They have limited number of people each night. Location - A long (and boring) walk to nearest metro and busses in Rome were unreliable. And often full-packed. Hotel was a bit expensive compared to the ok, but not great quality. - nothing major; room cleaning might be better by cleaning the "hidden" areas (under the tables, beds ... etc). - the location of the hotel is in a "remote" area of Rome for those don't like to use buses, the metro would be the option, the nearest metro station is 15 - 20 minutes walking.
