Everything, but in particular its unique historical background and the size and attractiveness of the room, all of which surpassed anything else we experienced around the world!. The hotel is awesome with it situation in a church. Nice views, spacious and clean room and friendly staff.The hotel was great. the brakfast was good, especialy the coffe. hotel breakfast.
all reviews » all the clercks at the reception desk were kind and willing to assist, they understood and spoke english fluently - which is not so common in Italy.., the hotel is very "hi-techist" with doors that can read your electronic keycard, breakfast was rich, there's a Metro station 300 meters from the hotel, the neighborhood of the hotel is pleasant and quiet. Location great. Easy access to all Roman sites and easy use of subwayand bus system from here. Good breakfast. Important: Request a room onthe courtyard side. The rooms are larger and the hallways make you feellike your in a monastery, since you really are. The courtyard rooms arefar superior to the street side rooms.Wonderful setting amongst the history of Rome. The room we had was superb and the roof terrace views were great. The location of the hotel was good, the fact that the hotel was situated in a church created a different atmosphere (in a positive way).It was a little out of the way of the main sights, but because of this we learnt to use the metro - an excellent outcome!!. the long and noisy corridors- very high ceilings echo. long walk to lift. could do with second lift at front of hotel.the hotel us located outside the main touristic sites and you have to take the Metro in order to get there (far for walking), the aircondition in the room was too weak. No one told us that there was a difference between rooms on the streetand the courtyard. Ignorance was bliss, until we discovered the otherside of the hotel and wished we were in that part where the rooms lookout onto a cool tree lined courtyard as opposed to a hot street with noshade. Thank goodness the air conditioning worked very well. I suspectthat Internet bookings get inferior rooms.Breakfast was a little plain but plentiful. One needs to take note that this is a working monastery hence no bars.Mini bar in room though. not easy to have internet access. No bar!. The room is very modest, as well as breakfast. Even floor towel were given to us only once during the five days:) Doors are very thin, you can hear everything from the corridor.Internet is chargeable and expensive. No restaurant or bar inside, but you can find in surroundings a lot of places to eat or drink.the bed was not very comfortable. Bathroom was a bit tired, but quite acceptable. We booked four rooms and two of them were noisy-caused by an airconditioner fan or similar. After a bad night we were able to move rooms but I am sure that someone else suffered with the same problem in those rooms.No bar except for mini bars in the rooms. poor breakfast. The breakfast was very poor with little choice and sometimes runningout of things. A little far from city centre. Not clean enough.Because of a big restoration of the hotel there was a huge stage in front of the hotel. The view from the window of our room was therefore blocked.
