Great choice and location. The place is small, but excellent value for the money. You won't go wrong.

Only issue is the big flight of stairs up, and because it is so small, there is not always a person there to receive you. This was bizarre and caused a little stress. Once I connected wtih the manage all was fine, but if you like the feel of a larger space and more staff, you won't like this.

Beautiful character rooms nicely renovated but remained charm, with lovely luxury details, like monsoon shower head , robes and slippers available to wear, .. Fridge with juice and able to make hot drinks at any time in room next door. Vouchers for a coffee and croissant provided for each day you are there, available at choice of 2 cafés within a few metres of entrance.

Not a problem for us, but do note that rooms are up a steep flight of stairs to first level.

The location was great for walking many places or picking up a bus after a short walk. There was great activity right at our doorstep, which we enjoyed immensely. There was a laundry nearby, a real convenience for people on an extended trip.

The rooms are on the third floor up a steep and somewhat narrow staircase. For those with a mobility problem or handling bulky luggage it can be a problem. If using public transport to the area, there is a bit of a walk to the B&B. There is no staff much of the time, which did not present us with any problems, but could for others.

This place is a Trastevere gem! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of all of the action (noise wasn't too bad, didn't have to use the ear plugs I brought). Beautifully appointed, recently renovated rooms. Staying here made us feel like we were living like locals, rather than hotel guests. Pastry and coffee for breakfast at the cafe downstairs was just enough (we'd rather save room for lunch anyways...) We arrived earlier than the 2pm check in but managed to catch the staff just before they were leaving so were allowed to check in early. We have already booked the same room for our return trip in September next year!

Steep stairs (although a great way to burn off pasta calories!) The staff is usually only present from 2-8pm (not sure what accomodations are made if you are arriving outside of those hours... although plenty of nearby restaurants and bars to wait with your luggage if need be)

I liked everything, the room had a lovely feel to it. Full of character and charm. We were upgraded to the top floor which was amazing. Included a balcony, Roman bath and shower. Beautiful apartment

3 flights of stairs , would not suit people with mobility problems

The place felt very homely - with the central piece providing a lovely living room space. The furniture was comfortable, well kept and clean. The hostess was very friendly and helpful.

Too bad breakfast wasn't provided by/within the B&B itself - the poor experience downstairs at the café ruined the magic a bit.

Location is picturesque and perfect for sights seeing: all attractions are in walking distance (never used public transportation or taxi while in Roma). There are many bars and restaurants around BDB. The basilica is very beautiful and the bells are charming.

If you are sensitive to the street noise at night and have disabilities to climb the stairs, this may not be the best choise.
