The property is nothing less than dramatic - indeed it looks like a movie set, and could have been, for that matter since, as one of the owners told me, during WWII it was commandeered as a German military hospital, and subsequently taken over by the Allies for the same purpose.   Great place. A bit off the beaten track, but fantastic location with view to Mt Etna. Food was great value for money. Wine was made on the property. Breakfast was the best we had in all of Sicily.
